Gosh, we are finding it very tough to choose a name for our first daughter! We would like to hear your ideas on our thoughts:

Tilly
Callie
Indie
Poppy
Dottie
Lillia
Lottie

Tilly - not keen. OK short for Matilda
Callie - prefer Cally or Carly short for Caroline
Indie - newspaper
Poppy - like
Dottie - like it short for Dorothy
Lillia - sounds like a brand of Tesco tampons
Lottie - nice short for Charlotte

They’re a bit too “puppy” for me. I’d go by a fuller name and use them as a nn.

@whatausername

Pretty on a 1 y/o, infantalising on a 21 y/o or a 31 y/o.
Yes, Lottie the lawyer I do not see
Aquamarine1029 · 12/09/2021 19:14

I don't like any of them, sorry. All little girl names.

JasonMomoasgirlfriend · 12/09/2021 19:14

Don't really like them...sorry.

I love
Amber
Jessica

I do think you have to imagine introducing yourself at a job interview with the name as well as how it will suit your beautiful baby. Callie is my favourite on the list.

Eechuffingnuff · 12/09/2021 19:08

Calliope nn callie

Or penelope nn poppy

Peachbubble · 12/09/2021 19:07

I like Callie and Lottie.

annacondom · 12/09/2021 19:06

Lovely names. Out of those I would choose Tilly, Dottie and Lottie. Less keen on Indie Callie, or Lillia. I also love Pansy and Tansy.

pilates · 12/09/2021 19:04

Lillia is nice, not keen on rest

JamieFrasersBigSwingingKilt · 12/09/2021 19:02

Agreed. They're very pretty names - but more for a puppy than a baby who'll grow into a woman.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 12/09/2021 19:01

A lot of these are too "little girl" for my tastes - I'd suggest Matilda, Dorothy, Charlotte w NNs Tilly, Dotty, Lottie if that's your kind of thing.
