Corridor.

AdaColeman · 09/09/2021 18:22

I'm not keen on surnames used as first names, but aside from that, I think it's very close in sound to Corrigan, another Irish surname, so your child would have a lifetime of correcting spelling and pronunciation ahead of them.

Also, it has a similar vibe to Conan (the Barbarian), so he might spend a lot of time on the naughty step at school.

What about
Cory?
Torben (means little bear)?
Doran?

I'm not a huge fan but you may like
Florian?
Horton?

TatianaBis · 09/09/2021 18:06

Corian meets corridor.

Corin?
Cosmo?
Caspar?
Cory?

Hellocatshome · 09/09/2021 18:05

Nope I dont like it, how about Corey if you like the Cor sound or Hayden if you like the den sound.

TenThousandSpoons · 09/09/2021 18:04

Corridor here too sorry.

miltonj · 09/09/2021 18:03

Never heard it. Makes me think of corridor or coriander amor mark corigan.

How about Roderick?

Jasmine11 · 09/09/2021 18:02

I've never heard this name before - is it from a culture outside of the UK? To be honest it just brings to mind a corridor or a kitchen worktop. What about Corin instead?

IggyAce · 09/09/2021 17:59

I’m on the fence, I’ve not heard it before but names don’t tend to phase me as I’ve heard all sorts in the school I work in. I’ll be honest I did immediately think corridor.

Ellerehj · 09/09/2021 17:53

It reminds me of corridor 🙈 sorry! Picking a name is the hardest thing ever

DotDotDotDotDot · 09/09/2021 17:50

I’m not against some surnames as first names but I don’t think Corridan works, it sounds a bit strange to me to be honest. Looking at the positive he could be Corey for short which is quite sweet.

SirChenjins · 09/09/2021 17:45

Corridan? No, I don't like it either, but I'm not generally a fan of surnames as first names.

Angel2702 · 09/09/2021 17:42

Not a fan sorry, sounds like a building material. I wouldn’t give my child an obscure name linked to a film character either.
