I'm due my little boy in 3 weeks the only name me and my partner have agreed on so far is corridan what's your opinions we are after something unusual the people we have told have basically said that they don't like the name

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Palavah · 09/09/2021 20:50

If you're just going to shorten it to Corey then just call him Corey?

user1493494961 · 09/09/2021 20:49

If you're going to shorten it to Corey just go with that, forget about Corridan, you don't want people calling him horrid Corrid.

Strangevipers · 09/09/2021 20:42

@miltonj

Never heard it. Makes me think of corridor or coriander amor mark corigan.

How about Roderick?

He will be called corridor or coriander I. School
NotMaryWhitehouse · 09/09/2021 20:40

Come on OP, it's another non-name.

You can do better, your son deserves a proper name of which he can be proud!

thecognoscenti · 09/09/2021 20:36

Dreadful. Sorry OP but there are so many actual names to choose from, you don't have to make one up.

Wolfiefan · 09/09/2021 20:36

It is awful OP.

BananaPB · 09/09/2021 20:35

Corey Daniel is much better

KingsleyShacklebolt · 09/09/2021 20:33

Corridor in Torridon?

Elisemum · 09/09/2021 20:28

I’m so sorry OP don’t want to hurt your feelings but it’s really bad…. sounds like corridor and he will be called that all his life. What about Cory? Corey? Carter? Something like that

CloseYourEyesAndSee · 09/09/2021 20:22

It's rubbish, sorry

Skyla2005 · 09/09/2021 20:20

It's horrible. Conrad is marginally better

ann122 · 09/09/2021 20:09

@salcombebabe

Poor thing will constantly be called Corridor of Corrugated at school - please don’t call him Corridan!
I'm sorry I just asked for opinions on the name if we go with it he will be shortened to Corey. I feel your comment is rather rude there saying he will basically be bullied.

It's awful.

Tsubasa1 · 09/09/2021 19:22

Corridor

MissBPotter · 09/09/2021 19:18

That’s terrible sorry.

Daniel would be quite unusual these days. Or how about Connor or Conrad? Those are actual names and aren’t particularly popular.

Aquamarine1029 · 09/09/2021 19:17

Sorry, it's really awful. It sounds like a thing, not a name.

What about Corben, Cory, Camden, Colton

UpCloseAndPersonalWithGlenda · 09/09/2021 19:17

Terrible. I can say that in the pretty certain knowledge that precisely nobody is going to pop up on this thread, saying "my son is called Corridan, thank you very much", so I can't offend anyone.

Agree that Roderick might be a possibility, though.

And Florian is a very, very good name, though suspect it won't appeal to the OP.

Strokethefurrywall · 09/09/2021 19:17

Fine with the name but stop telling people the name before you’ve had the baby!
Baby born, this is his name, done deal. People will see the baby and associate the name with him, but before the baby is born it’s hard to do that.

And also, opinions are like arseholes, everyone’s got one. But the only opinions that matter here are yours and your DHs.

In my opinion, Corridan is better than the ubiquitous George, Harry, Oliver, Hugo.

twinningatlife · 09/09/2021 19:16

Awful sorry OP

Runkle · 09/09/2021 19:15

Awful. Looks like Corridor and Coriander have been thrown together.

LouLion · 09/09/2021 19:12

I think it sounds like an element from the periodic table - really awful, sorry. I have a friend who named her son Corin, if that helps.

Zarene · 09/09/2021 19:07

Really, really bad.

PearlyRising · 09/09/2021 19:05

What about Corey Daniel

FawnDrench · 09/09/2021 19:02

It's awful.

salcombebabe · 09/09/2021 18:36
