@SeanChailleach

Comhghairdeas! Congratulations! Corridan is an intriguing name - it's rare to hear something new but with real history behind it. It is a valid variation on "Corrigan" which probably meant "spear". There is also a mythical Breton creature with the same name. [Star]
Thankyou it definitely suits him xx

@Buddhabowl

And of course congratulations on your new little bundle Corridan Flowers
Aww Thankyou he's a little stunner to say the least 🥰 I have had compliments on his name by people who ask and he won't get bullied for his name people who say that can be so cruel to assume the worst I have an unusual name and never got bullied for it 🙄🙄 merry Christmas Thankyou xx

Sounds like a cross between corridor and Daniel

Buddhabowl · 17/12/2021 10:57

And of course congratulations on your new little bundle Corridan Flowers

I'm glad you went with it OP. People get used to new names, I love Corey. He won't be bullied, kids don't care about names, they just accept them.

Sorry it reminds me of corridor!! I think there are better alternatives. How about

Kerrigan
Corin
Conor
Cormac
Cameron
Callum
Harrison

@Em45634

He is your baby, give him a name you love. The name I chose is slated on here but suits my child and I love it. Better then to share a name with 5 other kids in the class!
We went with the name and when you see his little face it suits him I'm glad I didn't listen to other peoples advice

I’ve never heard it before. When I read it quickly I assumed it was a typo for the surname Corrigan.
For me it’s too unusual and I think the person who has this name will spend his lifetime repeating and spelling it.

VictoriaBun · 11/09/2021 17:20

Sounds like Corian, a woktop material.

loopylu26 · 11/09/2021 17:20

Not keen but like Corey

GoodnightGrandma · 11/09/2021 17:18

No.
What about Conrad ?

Laloo4 · 11/09/2021 17:16

It makes me think “corridor” too I’m afraid.

How about Callahan, Cormoran, Corcoran?

HonoreDeBallsache · 10/09/2021 21:01

@Aquamarine1029

Sorry, it's really awful. It sounds like a thing, not a name.

What about Corben, Cory, Camden, Colton

WFT? These are awful, too.
ILoveShula · 10/09/2021 20:25

How about Cadogan?

Elisemum · 10/09/2021 19:36

I agree pick a name you love but come on not corrigan! He WILL be called Carridor and everyone who has kids knows it

Reminds me of Cardigan

salcombebabe · 10/09/2021 16:13

I wasn’t meaning to be rude just stating a fact, children can be cruel and this name will be changed to one of the many that others have suggested - your child will feel bullied by these children.

LittleGwyneth · 10/09/2021 15:47

Someone else suggested Florian which is absolutely lovely and sounds similar?

CanofCant · 10/09/2021 13:07

Corinthian

WhoppingBigBackside · 10/09/2021 09:10

Corrigan is a bit different but not bad - it's a nice surname. Corridan sounds like Corridor or a building material, sorry.

whatausername · 10/09/2021 01:42

I think Corey is nicer and works well as a full name. A 'Corey' could be a teacher or a fire fighter or a surfer, it "fits" many walks of life. He will have his own unique character and personality so he won't need a super unique name Smile

olidora63 · 09/09/2021 22:37

No !

SirChenjins · 09/09/2021 21:23

Corey is a lovely, complete name - just call him that. Corey Daniel as @BananaPBsays suggested is fab Smile
