Not sure yet if we are having a boy but which do you prefer between Toby and Henry please? Popularity doesn't bother us, more which is the nicer name. Thanks

Henry is very classic. I find Toby on it's own a bit cutesy sounding somehow. Tobias (nn Toby) is nice though and then you have the best of both worlds.

LouLion · 09/09/2021 19:13

Henry. Toby always sounds really wet to me - a bit like Tim.

TheBeautifulSouth44 · 09/09/2021 18:13

Toby - great name!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 09/09/2021 18:11

Toby

Henry. I know loads of small child Tobys (it is very popular round here - southeast) and every single one is irritating so may be biased.

Tigger85 · 09/09/2021 10:04

Tobias nn Toby

Noshowwithoutpunch · 09/09/2021 09:18

Henry out of the two.
Really dislike Toby. Sounds ugly imo.

NigellaSeed · 09/09/2021 09:16

I like both but Henry is more of a name for life, Toby sounds like a kids name. But then maybe because I've never met an adult called Toby.

Fabbydabbydoozey · 09/09/2021 07:09

I know Henry and Tony brothers. Toby my favourite.

Elisemum · 09/09/2021 07:04

Henry by far

GeorgiaGirl52 · 09/09/2021 05:44

Toby, by a long chalk.

PlainJane1000 · 09/09/2021 04:14

I personally think that Henry sounds better on an adult than Toby, I find Toby to be quite a childlike name, so for that reason I vote for Henry.

Theoldwoman · 09/09/2021 04:11

I like both but it depends on a few factors like surname? middle name? siblings? etc.

I slightly prefer Henry but not if your last name is Etta.

Happenchance · 09/09/2021 01:25

Henry. I really don't like Toby.

DramaAlpaca · 08/09/2021 23:03

Henry

PricklesTheHedgehog · 08/09/2021 22:20

Toby

Toby

hugocat · 08/09/2021 21:03

'Henry' might come across as being a bit 'posh' whereas 'Toby' is trendy.

PurBal · 08/09/2021 21:02

I prefer Tobias (nn Toby) to Henry but Henry to Toby. But I like “full” names.

toastofthetown · 08/09/2021 21:00

Henry.

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 08/09/2021 20:59

Toby

MyMILisLovely · 08/09/2021 20:58

Both are nice but I prefer Toby.
