Mine would have been Isambard and Isis !

It’s just as well that you get 6 weeks to register a bi try h.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Your DH is a very sensible man with great taste in names @NiceGerbil

NiceGerbil · 30/08/2021 20:59

Oh ha didn't see previous post!

NiceGerbil · 30/08/2021 20:59

Mine were fine.

DH wanted Odin if a boy. Or Thor.

We're English.

MaMelon · 30/08/2021 20:57

Delphine or Aurelia for DD
Benedict for DS1
Odin or Magnus for DS2

The first three might not have gone down too well at their Scottish state school, I recognise that now, but I’m still miffed about Magnus & Odin.

lustforlife · 30/08/2021 20:55

Ariadne Grin

DeadButDelicious · 30/08/2021 20:53

Wednesday. She'd have made a good Wednesday to be fair.

JoyOrbison · 30/08/2021 20:49

Tallullabelle and Chester

I was off my tits on pregnancy hormones

winnieanddaisy · 30/08/2021 20:46

When I had my first scans weren't available so I had no idea of the sex of the baby . I really wanted a girl so didn't pick any boys name but was determined I would call a DD Dawn . She was Dawn for my whole pregnancy. When she was born the midwife said ' you have a beautiful little girl, what are you calling her?'
C*** Grin!
All my visitors were coming in saying that our little Dawn is beautiful and I was having to correct them every time . My poor husband also didn't know of the name change till he arrived back from abroad 3 days later . Hmm

@feellikeanalien

DD would have been Rhiannon. We were listening to a lot of Fleetwood Mac at the time. Grin
I know a Rhiannon so nAmed for exactly this reason.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 30/08/2021 19:55

DD would’ve been Persephone and DS would be Erasmus or Orion
(They both have totally normal names)

NigellaSeed · 30/08/2021 19:54

Rafe.

MonkeyPuddle · 30/08/2021 19:53

Clemency and Douglas

Verbena87 · 30/08/2021 19:52

Swithun. I’m still keen though it’sa terrible fit for our surname.

ISpyCobraKai · 30/08/2021 19:51

@SoSoSoSleepy
If you remember the kids show Knightmare, there was a big spider in it named Ariadne.

Ruthietuthie · 30/08/2021 19:48

Zebede and Hepzhibah...

Interestingly, for all those nearly going for Isambard, there are four under eights with that name in our tiny neighborhood.

SoSoSoSleepy · 30/08/2021 19:47

Ariadne - a bit much with a double barrelled surname though, plus my sister said it reminded her of spiders!

MintyGreenDream · 30/08/2021 19:46

Valentino

entrytohr · 30/08/2021 19:43

If DS 1 had been a girl he was going to have rose as his middle name. My surname's Cox, it sounds rude no matter what the first name is. He's lucky he's a boy, his dad didn't notice the innuendo!

Eileen101 · 30/08/2021 19:42

Atticus or Abraham for DS

Florence for DD. When pregnant DH vetoed Caleb for a boy. Still would. Maybe next time... If there even is a next time.

Furtheron · 30/08/2021 19:39

Ooh, I still wish I'd called one of mine Boadicea! But didn't.

Hoppinggreen · 30/08/2021 19:37
@Hoppinggreen, Gabriel was a serious contender for DS’s name! So serious I was on the short list for if DD had been a boy.
I loved it and still do.
DS said he is very glad DH vetoed it though, although he would have loved to have been called Lucifer - which was my hormone induced favourite.

@WhenZoomWasJustAnIceLolly

Rosalice. I liked the mash up of Rose and Alice. Don’t know what I was thinking, it’s horrible 😂
Those were nearby my niece’s midfke names (both have family connections), but they were swapped round at the last minute.
