Hi all. After considering middle names for Ada I'm also thinking about first name River. Any MN suggestions? Thanks x

I'm surprised at the posts on here. I think a) River is a nice name b) it's not that out there or rare so don't get the responses as though it is a joke?

It's nice on a horse but not a human and to me it is out there. I've never encountered one. Clearly it's common in some areas but not in mine.

Fleur Bell has a little girl called River with the middle name Wren which I think is a nice combination.

Leigh and Tyne? I'm confused as those suggestions don't appear to be jokes, they're in with suggestions of regular names.

Did you have any ideas op?

BellaVida · 30/08/2021 13:44

I think it needs a longer more flowing (no pun intended) name to balance it out.

@ofwarren exactly.

I like River. I think it’s better for a boy though.

Twizbe · 30/08/2021 13:28

Not River Leigh ... there is an actual River Lee.

I'm not a fan of River but I agree you need a very boring sensible middle name so they have a choice as an adult.

WhoppingBigBackside · 30/08/2021 13:28

I think it sounds wet.

Brooke is better but I'm not keen on it

@anguauberwaldironfoundersson

I've always loved Song as a middle name for River.
😂😂😂

It's not a name I'd choose as it just reminds me of Doctor Who
