Lolita & Estelle

I quite like the name Lolita but don't think it's ok to call mr child that and I like the name Estelle but don't want to call my child that, any similar names to Estelle and Lolita?

Lorelei feels very similar. Or Dolores is the name Lolita is nicknamed from (though it does mean sadness, which is a bit of a depressing choice!)

I get why it's very difficult to use Lolita, but why not Estelle if you like it? What's the problem?

Alternatives are Lola (which is basically the same name as Lolita, minus literary connotations and is actually quite popular), and Estella (prefer this to Estelle), Stella (beautiful, ignore idiots drivelling on about beer). Possibly Esther.

The OP doesn’t actually want to use either name - she’s asking for names that are similar in feel.

I think the full name of the girl in Lolita is Dolores, which I think is really pretty still and not associated with the book in the same way.
I also think Lolita is a lovely name, but you’d never escape the connotations.
