I like Benedict from your list, although I would have thought Ben was the more obvious nickname.
Ned is Edward where I am.
I'll suggest Thomas as Tom and Sam go well and your DP it seems a name not that common for children now.

I'm glad a few said he looks like a Sam as that's his brothers name and he's the absolute image of him ☺️

Gah, still can't choose. Not helped by the fact DP is a teacher so has associations for most names I suggest!
