What does everyone think of Hardin for a boy? I heard it recently and I really like it.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Disneycharacter · 17/08/2021 20:41

No

VetInAVat · 17/08/2021 20:22

@ZoyaTheDestroyer maybe not in your school, but they definitely do in mine! Even the most tenuous link gets a nick name!

whatausername · 17/08/2021 20:22

It could only be worse if you named a daughter it.

snoresnoresnorezz · 17/08/2021 20:16

Really sorry OP was coming in to say hard on and saw that's what everyone else was saying 🤦🏻‍♀️

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 17/08/2021 20:16

Kids don’t tease each other about their names anywhere near as much as MNers think BUT you cannot put a child through school with a name that sounds like ‘hard-on’.

PoppityPop · 17/08/2021 20:14

Oh come on OP, you can’t be serious.

FatAnkles · 17/08/2021 20:13

I thought hard-on too. Kids can be cruel.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 17/08/2021 20:11

I’m not sure that it would be a big problem in real life

Come on Op if we made the hard on connection as grown adults do you honestly think teenage boys won’t. He’s not going to stay a baby for ever is he.

Nextchapterofmybook · 17/08/2021 20:11

God no

Barkingdog · 17/08/2021 20:11

It's a hard no for Hardin from me. It would be really unfair to saddle your child with this name!

EmpressWitchDoesntBurn · 17/08/2021 20:09

It was my first thought too, sorry.

Whinge · 17/08/2021 20:08

@StrawberryMacaron

Really? I would never have made that connection. I'm not sure that it would be a big problem in real life though.
You must be pretty much the only one not to make that connection. The vast majority would think it, even if they didn't say it.
RoseMartha · 17/08/2021 20:07

No

Chocolatebuttercream · 17/08/2021 20:06

Another vote for hard-on. Sorry OP but it definitely WOULD be a problem in real life. We are real life!

Thatsnotmypolarbear · 17/08/2021 20:03

Oh dear god no - totally sounds like hard-on, he'll be teased mercilessly.

WilloTheCrisp · 17/08/2021 20:03

Too much teasing potential I'm afraid- kids absolutely will call him hard-on

VetInAVat · 17/08/2021 20:02

If you want your son to be constantly giggled at for having an erection, and be subjected to knob jokes, then go for it. But you clearly disagree with every poster, so why bother asking!? It's definitely a penis name.

Hercisback · 17/08/2021 20:01

Yrection Grin

LubaLuca · 17/08/2021 20:00

I think of Hawarden. And hard on, of course. You might as well call him Yrection.

ofwarren · 17/08/2021 19:59

I instantly thought hard on too

RevolvingPivot · 17/08/2021 19:59

Are you Asian op? I think I've heard of an Hardin before but if Christian no.

AnnaSW1 · 17/08/2021 19:59

Only if you think you hate your child.

brokenbiscuitsx · 17/08/2021 19:59

I can hear the taunts now… Hardin has a hard on 🤣

FawnDrench · 17/08/2021 19:58

Gawd no - it's dreadful.

stealthninjamum · 17/08/2021 19:58

Sorry op I saw the thread title and instantly thought ‘hard on’.
