What does everyone think of Hardin for a boy? I heard it recently and I really like it.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@douliket

Oh dear God NO You cannot do this to an innocent baby Oh I can only imagine the torture of growing up You might as well call him Willie Erection. Why would you even consider it It is the most awful name I ever heard a mum to be want Just Nooooooooooooioooo!!!!!!!
I think, given the OPs subsequent post stating that the name "stood out", that they may not be entirely serious.

I agree it's not a good name, but come on now, that's a bit of an overreaction, surely?
opinionminion · 18/08/2021 18:23

Is this for real ? Why oh why Hmm

Sockwomble · 18/08/2021 12:05

"I did see After! Not a fan of the character really, but his name stood out."

I bet it did.

SirSamuelVimes · 18/08/2021 10:51

It worked for Buddy Holly, but I'm not sure it will work for you.

Kollamoolitumarellipawkyrollo · 18/08/2021 10:41

You have got to be kidding. No.

DrDetriment · 18/08/2021 10:37

@StrawberryMacaron

Really? I would never have made that connection. I'm not sure that it would be a big problem in real life though.
It would be.

Also, let's hope your surname is not Cummings..... can you imagine. Hardon Cummings, sounds like a porn star!

Are you serious, kids at school with take the piss out of him no end, don't do it to him!
Lockdownbear · 18/08/2021 07:27

@Newcastleteacake

Let's hope he's not too sensitive otherwise to handle all the bullying he'll have to Hardin up....
Hard-in-up was actually my first thought. And I think what he'd be teasted about in primary while the kids still have a bit of innocence about them. But moving up to secondary and beyond it would Hardon and be forever known as hard on.
torchh · 18/08/2021 07:26

@whatausername

It could only be worse if you named a daughter it.
🤣🤣🤣

MN massive - no , it’s really a terrible idea

ChrissyPlummer · 18/08/2021 07:16

@HPLikecraft

I genuinely didn’t instantly think “hard on”, I thought ‘what a bloody horrible name.’

Then I thought hard on.

Same here! I’m trying not to wake DH with my laughing 😂
jozipozi31 · 18/08/2021 07:16
