Middle name for Olive

Not long had DD1 but weirdly already thinking about what we’d call another if we are lucky enough to have another, and if we had another girl.

I’d love to use Olive (family name) as either a first name, or potentially middle name. I can’t think of a middle name that would sound right. Any suggestions?

DD1’s middle name is Alice for reference.

I'm thinking of Olive for our baby due in December if it's a girl, one of the middle names it's a crazy old family name but the other is Ivy and I think Olive Ivy go lovely together

Be careful with names beginning with vowels as middle names, in case the initials spell out words - remembering females are more likely to change a surname initial too. I knew a PIG and a HOG.

I think it needs four syllables

I’ve said it out loud a lot and four seems to trip off my tongue the best.

If you want it to have an Alice ish feel, I’d choose Elizabeth

But also suggest Evangeline, Alexandra, Penelope, Angelina

We considered Olive for DS2 had he been a girl, and the middle names we considered were Olive Wren or Olive Madeleine.

I think it needs a short middle name.

My choice would be Olive Jane.

Ah see I disagree... I say Olive Jane and I automatically want to correct it to Olivia Jane.

I think you need a longer middle name like some of the ops have suggested (Charlotte, Isabelle, Jessica...etc).
