Please share any lovely boy or girl names that have 6 letters. We like names which are very low down on the popularity list. Thanks!

Elspeth

Sorry, that's 7!

Hannah is a lovely name with a great meaning. My best friend has an Anna though so I'm not sure if a bit too similar.

I think my favourites right now are Angela and Julian. What do you all think of those? 🙂

If you like Angela, have you considered Angelica or Angelina? I know they're not 6 letters but a bit different than the older Angela name.

Other 6 letter ideas:

Cooper (boy/girl)
Everly
Sutton (boy/girl)
Maddie
Martha
Gianna

Sawyer
Carter
Brooks
Arthur
Archer

Thanks for the suggestions! One of these names I have already used and a few I love very much but my husband unfortunately won't let me use them, or I can't use them for other reasons, so lots of names there that I do like. I'm still struggling unfortunately. The other times I had a particular letter I liked (last time it was M), and so most of my name choices started with M and were similar to each other or even variations of the same name.

I quite like Angela. Not sure if I love it though.

I like virtue names or names that have a meaning which is a virtue. The name meaning is very important to me.

Maybe where I am going wrong is that I am trying to narrow it down before I have weighed up all the options!

I realise it could be outing to give your children's names to us, particularly if they are unusual but perhaps telling us one of their names would give us a feel for your style. Or let us know some names you like even if they don't necessarily fit the 6 letter rule.

Off the top of my head I like
Daphne
Marina
Marisa
Sophia
Imogen
Evelyn
Margot
Serena
Selena
Phoebe

I'm sure there are more girls names. Boys names seem a bit tougher.

ChikiTIKI · 04/08/2021 06:32

Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm really struggling this time, with my other kids I just knew the names I loved straight away.

My other children have six letter names so I feel like it doesn't work with anything else (yes,I know I'm being weird!)
