Stuck on three boy names, what do you prefer?

Rory
Teddy
Bodhi

Surname isn't popular at all.

There are lots of people who struggle with their Rs. Wowy doesn't sound great unfortunately.

Rory is the only decent name here. Teddy is daft and so of the moment. Theodore or Edward good though.

I’m actually surprised that anyone has those three names on their list - they’re very different styles.

Unless you're naming a fluffy soft toy rather than a boy/man!

Rory is difficult to pronounce for some people that struggle with R.

Bodhi is lovely

Bodhi makes my blood boil instantly. It is absolutely a LOATH IT name for me. (Someone at work, who I have never met, is called Bodhi. Whenever I see his name on the photocopier list of emails I feel RAGE).
Maybe I hate it because it is just so "Western people do Buddhism."
It is an absolute man-bun of a name.

Rory is nice. Teddy (if Edward is his real name) is fine too.

Bodhi is brave, but I must admit it does sound cool imo (reminds me of Patrick Swazye's surfing antihero in the cult film Point Break, as well as Buddhist links).

Teddy is very cute on a toddler but it's a nn to me only, too insubstantial on its own.

Rory is okay, just a bit trendy at the moment (unless you are in Scotland or Ireland where I think it's more classic).

Rory has boomed massively in popularity in last few years (look at the official charts and graphs) and is really overdone now plus so many popular top 100 boys names sound really similar with a Ro sound at beginning - Ronnie RoMan Reuben. All different names but when there's a class full of these sorts of names they do start to merge and get confusing, I'd avoid R names.

Rory for sure. Do not do what someone suggested of a difficult spelling Rhuaraidh (unless you are from a very specific Celtic community where it won't cause an issue for the child).
I have an Irish friend living in England spelt Ruari and even that gives him daily grief!

Disclaimer: these thoughts are based on the presumption that you are of white British descent. If your choices are coloured by a family cultural background then this won't apply (obviously).
What is the middle name? That will be pivotal as to how far you can go for the first name and still give him a more grounded name in the future.

If your middle name is very unusual, pick Rory.
If you middle name is 'normal', pick Teddy but register him Edward.
If your middle name is John or equivalent, go for Bodhi but consider a more angled cursed spelling (ie Bodie)
