Help! We’re due DD2 soon and can’t settle on a name. Not even close!

Our 4 year old is Imogen.

Looking for something classic, not too girlie (ideally not ending in -ie/y or -a) but not too masculine.

Names we’ve considered but don’t absolutely love are Beatrice, Emmeline, Eleanor and Alexandra.

All ideas welcome!

I know an Imogen whose sister is called Clarissa.

Something like Beatrice, Rosalind, Florence, Felicity, Juliet, Cordelia, Harriet, Josephine, Viola, Hermione, Charlotte or Cressida would work.

Some of those names should be discounted if you don't want two Shakesperian names!

Enid Blyton’s daughters were called Imogen and Gillian IIRC.

MeredithGreyishblue · 19/08/2021 19:39

Came to say Beatrice! First name that popped into my head. How odd

Another Shakespearean name

We considered Rosalind and Viola but went with Emilia in the end

StellaOlivetti · 19/08/2021 19:26

I thought Alexandra straight away. I know it ends in A but I don’t find it girly, rather strong and classic. And Alex is lovely for a girl and woman.

Bottomofsmughill · 19/08/2021 19:19

My immediate thought was Phoebe but also love Beatrice. How about Edie or Iris?

HR313 · 19/08/2021 18:51

We also have a four year old Imogen and due mid September with number two. Our main contender is Eloise if it’s another girl 👧
