What comes to your mind...

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Wimpeyspread · 28/07/2021 15:18

Well mine were privately educated - Ben, Rosie, Lizzie

ZooeyS · 28/07/2021 15:15

From my big name school in the late 80s - many many many variants of Victoria and Charlotte, lots of Ellas and Ellies, and some outliers - Ophelia, Wilhelmina and Hermione spring to mind

Juno231 · 28/07/2021 15:10

Flora, Octavia, India
Achilles (no joke), Hugo, Caspar

Along with the classic names of Henry, Charlotte, Edward, Frederick, Catherine etc

floatingon · 28/07/2021 15:01

Rupert

RavenclawsRoar · 28/07/2021 14:59

People I know who've been / go to private school: Catherine, Lucy, Rachel, Arthur, Sidney. Nothing too remarkable really.

Katshouldnotswim · 28/07/2021 14:57

My private school friends were called:

Charlotte
Verity
Hannah
Victoria
Annie
Rebecca

Totally normal

CrouchEndTiger12 · 28/07/2021 14:46

@BrilliantBetty

Nothing very modern. Biblical names or long standing popular choices.
Peter Phillips eldest daughter Savannah??

She is undoubtedly at private school and 18th in line to the throne.

Savannah isn't an old classic.

buckleten · 28/07/2021 14:43

The ones I know:
Lucy
Isla
Amelie
Jessica
India
Anna
Daisy
Morgan

Willwebebuyingnumber11 · 28/07/2021 14:41

I disagree with nothing modern. In my DDs school there’s Kai & Sienna.

They all have normal names that you’d find in a state school I would imagine
Eva
Lily
Poppy
Sophia
Willow
Erin
Hugo
Willian
Samuel
Sebastian
Jacob
Noah
Luca

daphnedoo12 · 28/07/2021 14:40

Abraxan · 28/07/2021 14:35

From DD's old schools a huge mix of names:

Sophie
Emma
Ellie
Ursula
Mollie
Olivia
Hannah
Anna
Ella
Katy
Liberty
Freya
Florence
Francesca
Ayesha

Dora
Erica
Haleema

Beatrice
Bella
Grace
Isla
Clementine

So, not much difference to the state school I teach at. Both schools have a mix of children from a range of backgrounds, ethnicities, etc.

Nothing very modern. Biblical names or long standing popular choices.

Luzina · 28/07/2021 14:35

I went to school in the 80s, names were mostly very dull. Shakespearean names were definitely popular at my school though - Portia, Perdita, Hermione etc.

PattyPan · 28/07/2021 14:29

Maybe look at the Telegraph birth announcements for inspiration as I imagine that’s the demographic announcements.telegraph.co.uk/births/announcements

DobbyTheHouseElk · 28/07/2021 14:27

Normal names in my school.

Sarah
Alex
Claire
Jo
Robert
Will
Richard
James

PattyPan · 28/07/2021 14:27

Classic names like Charlotte, James etc.
Cressida and Roger did come to mind though. Jilly?

Maggiesfarm · 28/07/2021 14:25

I've never given it a thought.

Off the top of my head I would think fairly ordinary, classic names: Jeremy, Joseph, Jonathan, David - Sarah, Louise, Rachel, Charlotte - that sort of thing.

I was privately educated up to age eleven as were my children and nobody had unusual names.

WestendVBroadway · 28/07/2021 14:24

Tarquin, Hugh and Rupert.
In reality the private school friends I have are actually called Mark, Aidrian , Eve and Isabelle etc.

DeliciousSoup · 28/07/2021 14:20

In my experience, the same sort of names as anybody else.
