I love it-

and nice NN's as well

I def do not think wet

daisypond · 25/07/2021 08:47

I don’t like it. I think it’s wet too, despite the two Robins I know being tough, outdoor, rugged types. And despite Robin Hood. I much prefer Robert.

TenThousandSpoons · 25/07/2021 07:47

Love it. Don’t think of it as “wet” at all.

FadoFado · 25/07/2021 07:18

Another person who thinks 'wet'.

DalPalak · 25/07/2021 06:38

I love it. It reminds me of Robin Hood as well.

SherbertLemons · 24/07/2021 23:32

Strongly dislike it as, to me, it sounds a bit wet

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 24/07/2021 21:17

Lovely choice, although personally I do like it best as a traditional nn for classic Robert - but I think that might be an old fashioned view now, as most seem to view it as a more a nature name in it's own right.

Abouttimemum · 24/07/2021 20:44

It’s super popular at the moment. I also think it’s a bit wet but each to their own, probably the popularity would put me off more.

Ijustlikedthename · 24/07/2021 20:37

Love it!

Roselilly36 · 24/07/2021 15:25

I love it

spaceghetto · 24/07/2021 15:15

We had this dilemma too, I love the name but as a teacher, i've had lots of Robyn's in my class. We chose it as a middle name instead. It's such a lovely name though!

Cbeebiesrehab · 24/07/2021 14:43

It’s a name I really can’t warm to, especially for a boy.

Highfive2021 · 24/07/2021 14:40

Love it but one of my boys has a similar name so wouldn’t use it, see list above 😂

KirstenBlest · 24/07/2021 14:34

seem samey not same samey

KirstenBlest · 24/07/2021 14:33

Nice but he'll be a Robin in the same peer group as Roman, Rowan, Rory, Reuben, Rafe, Rufus, Raphael, Rafferty, etc so will same samey.

Dollywilde · 24/07/2021 12:00

Have two friends called Robin (male) and they’re both fab. I find it a bit weird when people use the Robin spelling for a girl (as opposed to Robyn) - a friend has a female Robin and they get a lot of assumptions that her DD is a boy, so I don’t think it’s necessarily a feminine-associated name.

chaosrabbitland · 24/07/2021 11:54

i like it , nice for a boy or girl and reminds me of winter ,obviously lol

InTheNightWeWillWish · 24/07/2021 11:51

I like it. It’s on my list for my December due baby but DH doesn’t like it.

Angel2702 · 24/07/2021 11:40

I like it. It’s a name that’s grown on me over the years. Wish I’d considered it for my Christmas born baby.

Scarby9 · 24/07/2021 11:11

Yes, and if he doesn't like it there is always the option of Rob, Robbie, even Bob...

midsomermurderess · 24/07/2021 11:09

Why just fit for a girl? So sexist.

CakesOfVersailles · 24/07/2021 09:02

I like it, I have two Robins in my family (one male, one female) but the man is Robert on his birth certificate.

mooloop · 24/07/2021 09:00

I like it Smile

Phyllis321 · 24/07/2021 08:55

Like it a lot but then I was a huge fan of Robin of Sherwood Grin

MotherOfCrocodiles · 24/07/2021 08:55

Like.

Robin Hood not a wet blanket!!
