@Theoldcuriosityshop

I knew a Phaedra.
Is that not a boys name. Peace’s Geldolf named her boy Phaedra.

@elephantoverthehill

There was a woman on 'Uprising' last night called Velvetina, both Dd and I said what a lovely names we thought it was.
I saw that, too, and said the same thing to DH. What a darling name.

I have known a Rohais and an Odette. I was at school for a short time with a girl called Oenone; pronounced O no nee. I have never met anyone else with this name and I think it is quite attractive.

Loving that website @35andThriving! Apparently there were 3 babies named Dave born in 2018.

21Bee · 22/07/2021 19:50

Most of these names are popular… Otillie, Aurora, Ophelia, Eloise and Eloise are common where I live

Xigris · 22/07/2021 19:49

I also knew a Trilby @sesquipedalia

Also a Phaedra, a Psyche, Caragh, Dolly and my favourite, a fantastic little girl called Serenity who had ADHD and never sat still ever. Her mother was very ironic about it and said that she really didn’t suit her name at all Grin

Nancydrawn · 22/07/2021 19:48

When I was little I read The Borrowers and wanted to be called Arrietty quite desperately.

My parents did not cave.

Depending on where you're from, you might not have met many -
Atalanta.
Halcyon.

Ansjovis · 22/07/2021 19:45

What about Guinevere? I met a little girl with this name a few years ago and it completely sold me on the name.

Georgyporky · 22/07/2021 19:44

I know an "Ariya". A future bro/sis could perhaps be called Qashqai ?
