Greek girl's names

We are a half British, half Greek family. We live in the UK but any name has to work in both languages/cultures. What do you think of our shortlist of baby girl names? Please rank and happy to hear positive and negative comments.

Artemis
Zoe
Melina
Arianna
Sophia

Middle name and surname will be Greek,if that makes any difference.

I will also have to report back on which restaurants I've been to. They might start to get a bit suspicious if lots of MNers names Artemis all kept turning up.

On the Baklava theme, my Greek friend went to a Greek restaurant in another local town recently and was horrors to learn that they didn't have any

So would you say this was unlikely to work for a Peri-menopausal woman wii hi o would willing change her name for free baklava?

Please choose Artemis OP, it's by far the most beautiful of your choices and free baklava should be enough of a reason for anyone!

I like Arianna. Can’t see how that would date with a Greek surname!
Also like Ariadne and Anastasia.

I've just finished reading the seven sisters book series. They were named after the pleiades. I liked them all really and they're all Greek too. From your list Sofia is my favourite.

Anastasia with the Greek pronunciation, Athena
Marilena (better than Melina!)

Because of Artemis Fowl. I'm not really familiar with mythology so only know it through the character name.

I love Zoe.
Eleni is nice.
Somehow I can’t love Artemis. Sophia is nice but very popular. It’s also not obviously Greek due to it’s popularity.

Arianna is beautiful

Sophia one of the few classics I truly love (even like is hard with me on the classics)

Artemis is nice not one Id pick but I like it

I'm happily surprised that Artemis is getting lots of positives,since it's probably the least known in the UK.
Good to know about the other meaning of Melina, think I will take that one off the list!!

My mum's name is Eleni. I love it. I also like Iris and if I ever had a girl that's the name I would choose. My aunty's name is maritza.

I had a Greek friend at uni called Aristea which I thought was really pretty, not sure how well it works in England though.

I like Maria as I know an absolutely lovely Greek girl called Maria
