Myles, Ellis or Hugo?

Can I please have your opinions on these names?

My favourite is Hugo but worried it may be a bit trendy? My second choice would be Myles.
His Favourite is Ellis.

These are pretty much the only 3 we both like.

Middle name Charles or possibly Charlie.

Mylo/ Milo reminds me of the Tweenies and the bedtime drink. Much prefer Miles/ Myles.

Myles for me. But prefer Miles. It doesn’t flow terribly well with Charles, but I don’t think it matters - you’re picking Charles for family reasons and both names will very rarely be said together.

I love Miles or Milo, but you couldn't use Charles middle name..Miles Charles.. Maybe Milo Charles would be okay. Not keen on Hugo at all but Ellis is okay

Miles/Myles is best but it doesn’t flow with Charles and I don’t like shortened names on the birth certificate.
Ellis next but I really dislike Hugo. They both work with Charles though.

At the end of the day it’s just personal taste.

Loathe Ellis and I think it will date terribly.

Hugo, Miles, Charles are all equal to me. (Don’t like the y spelling).

You could go for Charles. My mum is a Catherine and she's never gone by a nickname despite the possibilities.

Ellis for me. Closely followed by Charlie.

Hugo is a popular dogs name here.

Myles is awful (sorry 😕 💐)

I like Miles (spelt with an i) best.
Then Ellis.
Not keen on Hugo.

@DramaAlpaca that's my thoughts too, so if I went with Myles, I'd probably have Myles Charlie.

Charles and Charlie are family names, I really don't like Charlie, but I could probably use it as a middle name.
I actually have no idea what to call him.

It's a shame you don't want to risk Charlie as Charles is lovely imo - so classic and timeless (I love it with nn Cal personally, if he wants a nn). I'm not keen on your other choices, they feel/look too trendy for me, sorry. I do like Hugh instead of Hugo though (which probably gives you an idea of my taste in boys names Grin).
