Anouska's a nice name - I think it has quite a fun, quirky sound to the English ear. I think I do slightly prefer similar (imo) Anya and Saskia though - but that's personal taste.

I also thought inmediately that this is a Russian name, because the ending "shka" is used in Russian a lot

I’m an adult Anoushka. It was very unusual when I was young (born 1960s) but I know of quite a few now.

It sounds more of an adults name than a small child or baby but better that way round than some adults who are lumbered with cutesy sounding baby names their whole lives!

It's an Indian and Russian name so that comment makes you sound racist BTW. How embarrassing for you.

PP didn't even say they didn't like it- but for the record it's not racist to not like a non-English name. Can we please not dilute the meaning of racism and throw it around everywhere, thanks

The name is uncommon, I've never met an Anoushka which is nice in a name because it has more character imo
