I thought of this name earlier and I quite like it, has anyone heard of it before?
Thought nickname Buck too was cute

JLE93 · 09/07/2021 17:30

Well... I guess my 5 minute bucklie idea is a no go from all the horrible comments 🤣 i actually saw it on a post somewhere and thought it was alright.. and I'm wanting something ie to follow my other children's name endings. Well thanks for all your advice and I won't be calling him Bucklie or buck as I have now been put off🤣

Or just call him buck, that’s actually quite cute.

@Eviethyme

To Me it sounds like something from hill's have eyes lik a child born of incest
See? You don't get this reaction with James or Peter 😂
want2bemum · 09/07/2021 15:07

Honestly I'm not all that keen, it sounds more like a pet's name to me.

statetrooperstacey · 09/07/2021 15:07

No mate. No. But don’t feel embarrassed I seriously thought about calling one of my kids tiger 😂 and he couldn’t have pulled it off!
Buster? It’s a bit better, not much but a bit! 😂😂

There is a town called Buckley in North Wales.

midsomermurderess · 09/07/2021 15:02

It puts me in mind if Buckie, Buckfast.

ILoveShula · 09/07/2021 15:02

Buckley is near Mold and Mold is the nicer (IMO) of the two towns.

Warrickdaviesasplates · 09/07/2021 14:48

I've only ever seen it spelt as Buckley. Is there a reason you've opted for the "ie" spelling?

I think people would get used to it and there are a lot of these surname as first name type names at the moment so maybe it won't stand out from the trend that much.

It's not a name I particularly like, but I wouldn't be overly surprised to hear it especially against the type of names at a lot of the baby groups we attend, think Archer, Hunter, Grayson, Harrison etc Buckley would almost blend in.

wizzywig · 09/07/2021 14:48

Buckaroo!

I know someone whose surname is Crapper. How about that if you like surnames as first names?
Wheelie-Bin-Behind-Asda

Or if you like place names as first names, may I offer:

Belvoir
Penistone
Scunthorppe
Bell End

AfterSchoolWorry · 09/07/2021 14:38

Why the 'ie' at the end? Why not just Buckley?

romdowa · 09/07/2021 14:38

I quite like stalin and goring personally 🤣🤣🤣

TwinsAndTrifle · 09/07/2021 14:38
