Walt/Wilf etc?

What do you think of these as full names? Any other alternatives? We want a short one syllable name

WALT - We are learning to...
WILF - What I'm looking for...
will be most primary teacher and teaching assistant's Pavlovian response!
But both reasonable names, taken separately. I prefer Wilf.

They are perfectly nice however they are abbreviations of longer names.

I also know 2 baby Wilf's in my circle alone.

How about short names that aren't abbreviations.

I like old classics such as Mark, Luke, etc.

Not popular and not many around now.
