What do you think of this female name mostly given in Scandinavia?

I have an Ailbhe (Alva) and she gets a lot of compliments on her name. Though most people think it’s Alba at first even if they’ve only heard, not seen, it.

No one’s ever mentioned vulva though I did have a wobble about myself before we named her - but vulva is a beautiful word, at least!

Thanks everyone. Would the vulva thing put you off this name? So many people name their child this maybe once you see it on a person the vulva connection no longer comes to mind?

@Geamhradh or not extremely odd, since quite a few people have said it reminds them of that! It ends in the same 3 letters and rhymes with it. Better people be honest, as OP may not have thought about it.

Then you're extremely odd. I have known two, one was my mum's cousin and male. The other is a female student of mine, and she's Italian. I really like it.

I prefer Elva tbh but Alva is alright. Seems like it'd travel well.
