Looking for an Irish boys name…

Really struggling to come up with an Irish boys name.

I do like Fionn, but we already one in the family, and I’m stuck for anything else that I can imagine myself hollering in the playground.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

@TatianaBis

Cillian is the new Liam.
Yes, and Liam has now come full circle to me and sounds almost fresh!

I have a real soft spot for Conn for a boy, but we have one in the family already.

Suspicioussam · 01/07/2021 23:18

I love Cillian. It doesn't seem popular in the UK?!

CaffiSaliMali · 01/07/2021 11:54

I love Oisín and Tadhg and think they go very well together. Eoin is lovely too.

asco · 30/06/2021 10:46

There is no K in the Irish alphabet so it's Cian/Ciarán/Cillian etc.
Odhrán or Odhran but the fada does not go on the o
I love Oisín, Ruairí, Cathal, Rían and Lorcan or Lorcán

OliviaNewtAndJohn · 30/06/2021 00:06

Is it your second son? If so, how about Dara?

I like Ferdia too, and I have fallen back in love with Patrick seeing Stephen McGann playing kind Dr Patrick in Call the Midwife.

@loveisanopensore It really is hard for people. But then I have a very out there name. It’s usually most annoying when having to explain it when I meet people abroad.

Mammymar · 29/06/2021 16:06

Senan
Rian

villainousbroodmare · 29/06/2021 15:51

Donagh is lovely! Dammit, I need another kid now.

PleasantBirthday · 29/06/2021 15:20

Donagh is a very nice name, I think. Don't hear it around much though, don't understand why.

BungleofWimbledon · 29/06/2021 14:53

I wonder this too.
