Will these girls names come back into fashion?

Was just thinking about people I went to school with, or worked with in the '80s. I like some of these, and they seemed so normal at the time. But does anyone call their Dd these nowadays?

I imagine some of them will, in time. It's interesting which ones do - in the current trend for old-fashioned girls' names Ruby, Ivy and Esme are back, but no sign of Gladys, Peggy or Maureen!
The “eem” names - Pauline, Doreen, Maureen etc - seem like a category on their own. I don’t know if they will come back. The current cutesy “-y/-ie” fad has to end at some point but I struggle to imagine a baby Doreen. Always loved Kathleen though.

I’ve always found the name Donna so harsh and unappealing.

Some of the names from your list are very 1950s -60s I think like Angela and Lynne so in theory would come back first, in another generation or so. Not all names come back though.

I imagine so. I know a Hayley who’s about 5, and I think Angela is lovely.

We had a Ds but Susan was on our list if a girl, which is the same vibe I think.

I love the names Alison, Janice and Janet, so I hope they do.

Monica and Janice will probably take much longer because of the association with Friends, which has never really stopped being popular.

Some of them will definitely be back soon.

I think names like Monica, Donna, Kelly will definitely make a comeback.

Would much rather have a baby called Lynne or Angela than yet another Eva/Evie/Ava/Ivy or Amelia/Emilie/Amelie.

Probably. Hayley already is only it's spelt Hailey or Hailee. Jean and Joan are on their way back.

Some of the names are nice.
