@DubarryChuckle it's pronounced joy-aa. And it never gets pronounced goy sound. Peiole seem to pronounce the G as J like Gemma or Georgia.

A lot of the names above aren't Italian, and others are really old-fashioned which may or may not bother you- think the Italian equivalent of Brenda or Mavis Grin

Gioia is beautiful, slightly less so in my yorkshire accent than in an Italian one unfortunately.

My friend is married to an italian and her 4 girls are called; Audrina, Gioia, Lucia and Valentina.
