So I’m due my second son at the end of September and me and the husband are still not set on a name. He likes Hendrix which I also like but I’m still pushing for Axton which he’s not keen on. I thought it would go nice with our first sons name Jaxon.

If these were your 2 name options what name would you go for? And if you have any middle name suggestions for either name that would be appreciated

Thanks 😊

How about Otis?

Phoenix, or Felix?

Oh my goodness what's with all the X's? Why not just Aston or Hendrik? I think those would both be nice. The X versions don't sound particularly classy to me.

20viona · 28/06/2021 20:03

Someone clearly follows @jodieannstark on Instagram lol.

lottiegarbanzo · 28/06/2021 20:03

Oh, one thing. Jaxon by itself just sounds like a name, with no particular associations. But when paired with Hendrix, the brain is naturally led towards famous musician's surnames and it begins to suggest Michael Jackson. (Unusual pairing perhaps but there you go).

Violet1988 · 28/06/2021 20:00

Hendrix goes much better with Jaxon than Axton.

Starlight39 · 28/06/2021 19:59

Oh and middle names, some mainstream and some less so:
Hendrix Luther
Hendrix Luca
Hendrix Lennon
Hendrix Jett
Hendrix Cruz
Hendrix Lincoln
Hendrix James
Hendrix Edward

Starlight39 · 28/06/2021 19:53

Axton sounds like it should be Ashton to me and is too similar to Jaxon. I'd go with Hendrix. Or look for another name you like that doesn't end in "on".

lottiegarbanzo · 28/06/2021 19:51

Hendrix.

Axton with Jaxon is ridiculous.

Saltnpepperr · 28/06/2021 19:46

Hendrix out of the two. Axton doesn’t roll off the tongue easily and doesn’t sound good with Jaxon, they’re too similar.

Comedycook · 28/06/2021 13:38

Not my cup of tea but Hendrix is better.

I really cannot see how you could have two brothers called Jaxon and Axton...you'll be a laughing stock

woodfort · 28/06/2021 13:36

It would have to be Hendrix on account of the fact that Axton is so bad.

I like a PP suggestion of Xander. And how about Axel?

Kanaloa · 28/06/2021 10:03

I don’t like Axton. Don’t really like Hendrix either but if it was a choice between those I’d say Hendrix. Ashton & Axl are nice alternatives to Axton. If you wanted the x to match with Jaxon then Max, Dexter and Xander are nice.

IggyAce · 28/06/2021 09:22

Sorry Axton sounds made up so Hendrix gets my vote. Other suggestions that go with Jaxon:
Preston
Austin
Jenson
Axel
Jace.
Middle names I’d probably stick with traditional just so your dc has an option if they hate their first name (we did this for ds who is Chase). Middle names:
Thomas
Alexander
Nathaniel
Jack
Ivo
Tobin
Robin

TatianaBis · 28/06/2021 09:12

Hendrix is just embarrassing.

Jem1979 · 28/06/2021 08:45

I much prefer Hendrix. Think Axton is too similar to Jaxon. What about Max?

IVflytrap · 23/06/2021 22:47

Hendrix. Jaxon and Axton are too rhymey and a bit of a tongue twister when said fast together.

Hendrix Oscar
Hendrix Nathan
Hendrix Liam
Hendrix Ezra
Hendrix Vincent
Hendrix Silas
Hendrix Paul
Hendrix Bram
Hendrix Elijah
Hendrix Asher
Hendrix Joel

Enough4me · 23/06/2021 22:36

Hendrix is slightly OK. Don't like the others.

sarah13xx · 23/06/2021 22:31

Have to say I’d go Hendrix, love the name anyway but the other two names are too similar

Orphlids · 23/06/2021 20:18

I assumed this was a joke thread when I read you wanted to call your kids Jaxon and Axton, but everyone else seem to think it could be genuine. So I’ll join the others in saying don’t use Axton. Hendrix is better.

NigellaSeed · 23/06/2021 20:14

Brian

NotTheCatsWhiskers · 23/06/2021 20:06

Axton is awful but even more terrible with Jaxon.

Aston?

You seem to have a thing about ‘Xs’. I don’t like Hendrix either, it’s either the singer or sounds like the gin.

stellarfox · 23/06/2021 19:42

I’d say Hendrix purely because Axton is too similar to Jaxson.

Nettleship · 23/06/2021 19:33

Definitely Hendrix of the two! Jaxon and Axton are way too close. How about Axel?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 23/06/2021 19:31

Do you like Ashton or Ashley
