Our baby girl is due in 2 weeks and we still can't decide on a name. I like all of the above but can't seem to settle on one. What's people's thoughts? Thanks

Quintinella could be Ella or Nella. Nella's sweet.

FayCarew · 17/06/2021 14:13

Quintana could be Tana. That's pretty.

Violetlavenders · 17/06/2021 14:09

Yes, Quinn is masculine and strong sounding. For a girl Quintina or Quintana would be more suited.

FayCarew · 17/06/2021 13:58

Quinn's a bit short on nn options, how about Quintiana as a bc name then she could choose to be Quinn, Quinnie, Tia or Tiana.

Mummyneedsacoffee · 17/06/2021 12:50

Quinn - I think it’s lovely!

LostThings · 17/06/2021 12:48

Willow

Clickbait · 17/06/2021 12:45

Lucia and Willow are my favourites.

arecklessmanor · 17/06/2021 12:44

Lucia is pretty but need to clarify pronunciation, I like any
Mila - too many dogs called Milo, too similar
Quinn - just awful, non-descript, sound is not pleasing, no substance
Niah - meh, too much ambiguity about pronunciation and seems a bit made up, reminds me of Nevaeh (in a bad way)
Willow - nice nature name, I know a grown up Willow, suits child or adult

But we're all different so choose what you love.

polkadotpixie · 17/06/2021 11:56

I like Quinn, Mila and Niah

ISaidDontLickTheBin · 17/06/2021 11:55

Lucia - nice but will get mispronounced. I prefer the Italian way
Mila - really like it but is quite popular and will probably get mispronounced
Quinn - boys name or very american
Niah - prefer Nia (Knee-ah)
Willow - popular name for kittens

WithASpider · 17/06/2021 11:54

I love Quinn, great girl's name imo. Lucia too. Not sure about Niyah or Mila.

Willow is very popular at the moment.

Fnib · 17/06/2021 11:48

I love the name Willow!

drpet49 · 17/06/2021 11:48

Quinn or Willow

Twizbe · 17/06/2021 11:46

I'd wait until she's here. You don't need to decide now. She might just fit one more than the others.

TatianaBis · 17/06/2021 11:38

I only like the Italian pronunciation of Lucia - Loo-chee-a.

Loo-see-a in English just sounds like loo seat.

I'd go for Mila.

Iwantcauliflowercheese · 17/06/2021 11:30

Definitely not Quinn. It's so masculine. Lucia and Mila both have problems with pronunciation. Willow is easy to pronounce and spell.

Theoldwoman · 17/06/2021 11:30

Lucia

Violetlavenders · 17/06/2021 11:27

I only know boys called Quinn. It sounds very masculine, like Finn or Flynn.

I also know a couple of Quinns who's full name is Quentin.

I love Lucia for a girl! So pretty and not overused.

SleepingStandingUp · 17/06/2021 11:24

I vetoed Quinn for DS as it feels somewhat incomplete but I do know a baby boy Quinn and I realise I like it for other people. Unisex imo.

But I adore Willow so I'd have that

Queserasera89 · 17/06/2021 11:21

Thanks so much for everyone's opinions. The pronunciations we like are:

Mila: Mee-la
Lucia: Loo-see-a

I feel I'm leaning more towards Quinn as it's a little different although it worries me she may be mistaken for a boy although it does seem to be more of a feminine name now? Or does it sound too masculine? Have to say I have never heard of quim before and I'm in my 30's, it's a bit like saying "Willy" for William is it not!

Quinn is lovely

MerryChristmasToYou · 16/06/2021 22:35

sound not sould

MerryChristmasToYou · 16/06/2021 22:35

Lucia - many ways of saying it
Mila - sould mealy
Quinn - quim
Niah - Nia (Knee-ah) or Nigh-ah?
Willow - fine, might not suit a stocky DD.

DramaAlpaca · 16/06/2021 22:21

Not Quinn, it's a surname and makes a silly first name.

Lucia is the best of the rest.

partyatthepalace · 16/06/2021 21:31

Lucia

There are too many Milas, Willow is wet and faddy, Niah is meh and Quinn is old slang for lady parts
