Caledonia?

What are your thoughts on Caledonia?

I'm Scottish but living overseas. My preference for names is slipping into the territory of names that would have felt too much in Scotland...Hamish, Angus etc. Am probably homesick!

Caledonia I'm liking a lot but is it a bit much?

I dont really see it as a name at all, sorry.

What about some of the more common places used as names - Skye, Isla, and places like that?

Also knew a girl called Alba that i thought was a lovely name!

Sounds like a train line.

PatMustardsBigTool · 09/06/2021 22:07

For a girl or a boy? Either way I think it's too much. What about Alba?

Caledonia is a bit much, what about Catriona, Isla, or Skye?

Pengwyn · 09/06/2021 22:06

Middle name maybe but not first

Justmuddlingalong · 09/06/2021 22:04

Never heard of it as a name, what about Calley/Callie?

A wee bit much I think. I'm sure there are more subtle ways to name your baby and celebrate your heritage.
