I love Sian but hear it’s old lady in Wales?

Still like Siriol but people don’t seem keen. Others being considered

Rhedyn
Cadi
Nia
Heulwen
Manon

Ela will be middle name probably though we considered Medi

I know 3 Sians born in the 90s so it doesn’t sound old to me, but I think these things always come down to personal experience.

Unihorn · 06/06/2021 19:11

The Sians I know are over 25, I don't know if any recently born.

TheMotherlode · 06/06/2021 19:10

Cadi is nice too, not keen on the others

Captainj1 · 06/06/2021 19:10

Sian is the Welsh equivalent of Jane. If you like it, use it! I don’t think it is old lady but in any event if you’re not in wales there won’t be any old lady connotations. There are lots of Sian’s in my family, with ages ranging from 17 to 75.

TheMotherlode · 06/06/2021 19:10

Sian is nice but I think Nia is my far the best name on that list

Irishmom7 · 06/06/2021 19:08

Seren is pretty too.

Smartiepants79 · 06/06/2021 19:08

I love Sian. No old ladies I know are called this.
Thought old lady names were making a come back anyway!

Irishmom7 · 06/06/2021 19:07

Sian is pretty cool to my ears. But Siriol sounds like a laxative.

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 06/06/2021 19:06

It's definitely not. I like Manon a lot.

lockdownbreakdown · 06/06/2021 19:06

It's very 70s. What about Mabli or Mali?

drpet49 · 06/06/2021 19:06

Hate it

SamMil · 06/06/2021 19:05

I love Sian! Totally would have been on my list if husband liked it too
