Hi what are your thoughts on Marina?

We also like Connie and Lara but Marina is front runner. What do you think?

What about Minerva as an alternative?

cariadlet · 06/06/2021 15:22

First thought was Stingray

Second thought was boats because a nearby town has a marina.

Not keen

StevieNix · 06/06/2021 15:19

How about mara?

FeistySheep · 06/06/2021 15:18

It's a harbour for yachts. But I like the sound of the word.

yikesanotherbooboo · 06/06/2021 15:09

As far as nns are concerned , the Marinas I have known have gone by their whole name.

jackstini · 06/06/2021 15:07

Like it best out of the 3 and I know 3 Marinas - all in their 50s and all lovely

Frazzledd · 06/06/2021 15:04

@ColdJuicy Grin you'd hate my other suggestions then! There's a few votes for Marina, go with what you like 👍

I think what it'd be shortened too..

Marina - Mar, Reena, Reenie
Lara- Lar, Rara
Connie- Cons, Neenee

Ellmau · 06/06/2021 14:58

I think it's lovely.

yikesanotherbooboo · 06/06/2021 14:55

Lovely
And agree re Marina Hyde
Also Stingray shows age.
Btw I like your other choices too.

DrHWeasley · 06/06/2021 14:51

Lovely name. It was on my long list. I went with Lara in the end, and get lots of compliments, I'm sure Marina would too!

It makes me think of my little pink octobuddy on Animal crossing!.....and boats...

I'm not a huge fan of Connie or Lara, so I'd go with Marina out of the three?

LobotomisedIceSkatingFan · 06/06/2021 14:41

It's not awful, but it does inevitably make me think of the superannuated side piece in 'Last of the Summer Wine'.

NeedNewKnees · 06/06/2021 14:37

I like it - it makes me think if the brilliant Marina Hyde so naturally I have positive associations.
