Any thoughts? I keep coming back to it but still unsure!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba

Cora is a hypermarket chain in a bunch of European countries so because of that it'd be as weird for me as calling a kid Tesco or Asda.

so no, wouldn't use it as first name. maybe as a middle name

Only if you live in one of those countries
Whitewolf2 · 04/06/2021 20:08

It’s lovely, we used it as a middle name!

stellarfox · 04/06/2021 20:06

I still really like it but when we tried it out on my daughter and said the name out loud I found it a bit hard to say. I preferred it in my head!

Notthenever · 04/06/2021 19:59

I love it too.

(Pearl would be a good middle name : )

AnonymousArmadillo · 04/06/2021 19:58

@BlueDucky

I like Cora but hate Clara and Cara. Strange as they are similar
My DD is Kara but I hate Clara. Just adding in the L sound ruins it completely for me. Very strange.

I like it too

newnamesameold · 04/06/2021 19:44

Cora is a lovely name.

Historytoo · 04/06/2021 19:42

Beautiful name. I think of the character Cora in "Last of the Mohicans".

DotDotDotDotDot · 04/06/2021 19:39

I do like Cora, it’s on my list aswell. However I can relate to you in that I keep going off it for some reason. I also like Nina, Lara and Clara which I think have a similar feel. Good luck.

AllIknowsofar · 04/06/2021 15:28

I don’t like it at all.

HeadlessGummyBears · 04/06/2021 15:25

I love it! Cora was one of my favorite characters in Downton Abbey.

MrsDoctorDear · 04/06/2021 15:23

I like it.

CherryonBiscuit · 04/06/2021 15:22

Adore it. Great name. Elegant!

NigellasMicrowave · 04/06/2021 14:48

I love it a lot.

LizzieAnt · 04/06/2021 14:11

I love it too, and much prefer it to Cara. It doesn't sound like corer in my accent, and corer is a word that's rarely used anyway ( in my house at least Smile).

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 04/06/2021 14:04

I think it looks really pretty written down too (if that makes sense to anyone)

I’m sure she’s lovely, I’ve also never met her. I stand what I said about those I’ve met and my opinion on the way it sounds, sorry![/quote]
You’re entitled not to like it. I haven’t liked a single name that people I know have chosen for their babies in the last year. Not the nicest way you could have phrased it.

MunaZaldrizoti · 04/06/2021 13:58

It's a great name

Lovely name

FakeTanandProsecco · 04/06/2021 13:29

I love it too, and prefer it over Cara

MrsWidgerysLodger · 04/06/2021 13:15

I loved Cora for our DD but DH vetoed it :( Beautiful name.

ColaOlaLa · 04/06/2021 13:14

I don’t like. Cara/Kara is nicer imo
