Any thoughts? I keep coming back to it but still unsure!

Much prefer Cara which is far classier.

JustanotherTuesday · 05/06/2021 09:43

I'm not keen on it. It seems a hard name.
Cara/ Kara is softer sounding and prettier.

Umbongoumbongo999 · 05/06/2021 07:31

Love it, I know a brand new baby Cora and it was the first time I heard the name irl

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 05/06/2021 07:30

*Coraline

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 05/06/2021 07:29

Coralline makes me think of the creepy girl with button eyes.

WhatsGoingOnHereThen · 05/06/2021 07:17

I like it. Also Coral and Coraline. All gorgeous!

BilindaB · 05/06/2021 04:57

I like it, like Coraline even more.

InstantUserNameJustAddWater · 05/06/2021 04:45

I love Cora, but then, it's my daughter's name so I would! I loved the fact it was pretty and elegant but strong, easy to pronounce and spell, travels well internationally and is still unusual enough to (probably) be the only one in her class. Plus the meanings are lovely - in Lowland Scots it means swirling pool (like the Cora Lynn waterfalls), and in Greek it means maiden, and is another name for Persephone in her "bringer of spring" guise, if you know the myth?

Happymum12345 · 05/06/2021 00:55

If it’s good enough for Downton Abbey!

Makes me think of cawing crows. Sorry.

SoapboxFox · 04/06/2021 21:56

I really like Cara but not keen on Cora (like a pp I think of an apple corer).

PiuVinoPerFavore · 04/06/2021 21:54

It's lovely, as is Cara.

Wallywobbles · 04/06/2021 20:59

French supermarket chain

Emmelina · 04/06/2021 20:59

I didn’t go with it, but Cora was one of two names I had settled on for one of my daughters.
There’s a little Irish girl in Titanic with the name and I’ve loved it ever since I heard it :)

kneesbentarmsstretchedrararaaa · 04/06/2021 20:35

I don't like it. There are so many names out there which are prettier.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 04/06/2021 20:33

Lovely name!

MindyStClaire · 04/06/2021 20:33

I really like it, although I think it might be quite popular atm as a know a good few.

Useruseruserusee · 04/06/2021 20:33

Love it! We would have used it but 1) we had two DSs and 2) it unfortunately rhymes with our surname.

partyatthepalace · 04/06/2021 20:32

Meh. I think it’s nothing-y

Clara, Cordelia - both lovely

Spidey66 · 04/06/2021 20:31

Glass=class

Spidey66 · 04/06/2021 20:31

Love it. Its pretty, unusual enough that she'll probabky be the only one in her glass caloed it, but not so unusual peopke havent heard of it or struggle to spell or pronounce it.

UneAstuce · 04/06/2021 20:28

Horrible- reminds me of a crow

FurrySlipperBoots · 04/06/2021 20:21

One of my favourite girls names. I've loved it since watching Titanic as a child.

catsjammies · 04/06/2021 20:20

I have a Cora, short for Cordelia. We love it.
