Thoughts on the name Caia Nicole

Hey! We were having a hard time deciding between Caia and Romi. I love them both. Almost sure we will go for Caia. I wanted to give her a middle name that refers to someone we love. Nicole is the name of her grandma. I realize it’s not the most modern name. Is it too dated? Do they go together? Hate or love?

Really nice name! I don't have a problem with pronunciation - it's pronounced like maia or gaia.

People might assume it’s ‘sigh-a’ but I think most sane people can get their heads around that it’s pronounced like Kaia. Not a very tricky one. I love Nicole! Caia makes me think of Where The Crawdads Sing so I like it.

Why have you decided to go with that spelling of the first name? I think Kya or even Kaya is much kinder. She's going to spend her whole life spelling it and telling people how to pronounce it.

Nobody will have a clue how to pronounce it. But it seems an OK name apart from that. I agree with Nicole being very dated. But nothing wrong with it.

Nicole is quite dated to me
Caia is ok though

I love the name. And Nicole is lovely when pronounced properly (nee-col rather than nee-coal).
