Last name is 2 syllables starting with C. We like strong, classic names that will age well and not be seen as “2021 trendy”

  1. Malcolm
  2. Alexander
  3. Simon
  4. Benjamin
  5. Jackson

Ezra is very 2021.

Of your list I like Benjamin the best. If you’re considering Simon may I suggest Peter?

omgthepain · 01/06/2021 22:52

To go with Isaac, how about Eli another good Hebrew name!

Tillygetsit · 01/06/2021 22:32

My first thought was also Jacob. Love Benjamin, Simon sounds wet to me. Alexander is ok but there seem to be a growing number of them and sorry but Jackson is yuk.

merryhouse · 01/06/2021 21:33

Reuben
Samuel
Elam

RickOShay · 01/06/2021 20:01

Douglas?

ZenNudist · 01/06/2021 19:43

Alexander
Benjamin

Also I immediately thought Jacob

Amdone123 · 01/06/2021 19:35

Ezra, not Emma.
Hate Jackson.

17caterpillars1mouse · 01/06/2021 19:35

I love Malcolm

I also really like Benjamin and Simon (have you considered Marcus? I think it fits this category too)

I like Alexander but it's just a very expected name though I do like that it can be Alec, Zander or Andie. Alex is my least favourite nn for it

I really don't like Jackson, though I like the simplicity of Jack

Amdone123 · 01/06/2021 19:34

Am loving Caleb, Elijah, Emma.
From your list, Malcolm is so dated, but growing on me. It's quite cute.
I like Simon, Alexander and Benjamin. Also Benedict.

LeafBeetle · 01/06/2021 19:29

Alexander is my favourite, followed by Benjamin.

Hufflepuffsunite · 01/06/2021 19:28

I vote for Benjamin. Lovely name.

partyatthepalace · 01/06/2021 19:27

Benjamin is my favourite
Or Simon is good and unusual right now
Alexander is nice but quite a few of the

Wouldn’t use Jackson which is overused with a bit of a downmarket vibe, and I’m not sure the world is ready for a Malcolm revival yet (assuming you aren’t Scottish)

Caleb, Jesse, Jethro, Jerome, John might be other possibilities. And I would say Reuben but bit overused right now.

cheesecrackerz · 01/06/2021 18:17

Simon!

whatausername · 01/06/2021 18:16

Jackson screams 2010s/2020s (so far, we're rather early in the 20s).

speak2me · 01/06/2021 15:20

Dexter?

rosed1008 · 01/06/2021 14:06

I love Alexander, i will forever be disappointed my husbands name is Alexander and therefore i cant name any children it!

I also think it goes with Isaac quite nicely

EssentialHummus · 01/06/2021 14:06

I agree with a pp about Ezra.

SirVixofVixHall · 01/06/2021 14:04

I detest Jackson, but I have a thing about surnames as first names. It is also the most contemporary of the choices and out of kilter with all the rest.
I think all the others work with Isaac apart from Malcolm .

Dora26 · 01/06/2021 13:22

Jacob

Historytoo · 01/06/2021 13:20

Simon. Or Simion / Simeon if you want to be old testament?

TatianaBis · 01/06/2021 12:28

Bin Malcolm and Jackson immediately.

Simon is rather middle-aged - ok as a middle name.

Which leaves Alexander and Benjamin - both are very nice.

BorderlineHappy · 01/06/2021 10:31

I love Jackson the best, don't like Malcolm at all.

Stevearnottsbeard · 01/06/2021 10:29

I have a Samuel Isaac both great names 😁

mynameisbrian · 01/06/2021 07:42

Out of your list it would be Alexander.

Henry
Robert
Andrew
Fraser
Sebastian
Hugo
Zachary
Peter

Twisique · 01/06/2021 07:36

Alexander or Zander

How about Ezra?
