Just found out we are having a baby girl after two boys and I’m all into pretty girl names!! If you’d had a girl what would you have called her? Or what’s your favourite ever girl name?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I have a daughter called Wren
If I had ever had another girl - and I won’t - she would have been called Inez

Persephone

I've flexible on love with bronte
I got feedback at work from two girls called Alice and bronte and just fell in love with the name

I have an Eliza. If I had another, she would be Rosa.

Millie, dd1 was Emma but nicknamed Emmie from about 2-3.

If DH didn’t have a say I would use Elise or Eloise. Also really like Florence and Celeste but he won’t go for either of those.

I also love the name Cassandra but it’s the name of DSis’ new dog so can’t use that!

I already have a Maya (My-Ah) and our shortlist for DC2 is Annie or Cecelia/Cecilia

Congratulations, a lovely decision to have to make

I was vetoed for all 4 when I had my last dd, I still love the name we chose, but those were the 4 that were absolutely no-go for DH.

Leonie is a name I only heard quite recently but I love it. I also like Cindy and Clara.

Synchrony · 31/05/2021 15:08

She'd have been Sylvia. Other contenders were Felicity, Catherine, Fiona, Delphine, Jemima, Heather and Sarah.

Treezan82 · 31/05/2021 15:07

I have one of each. If my son had been a girl she would have been Margot but if we had another now she'd be Edie.

These are my go-to girls names (hoping to get pregnant over the next few months). I also love the name Emerson, and it would definitely be my number one choice, but couldn't have it with my surname.

Interestingly, I think boys are easier to name than girls, just because I get caught up on girls names sounding both pleasing to the ear and strong - I don't think you can go wrong with classic boys names for that!

WalkingMeAway · 31/05/2021 14:32

If this baby was a girl she would have been called Ivy

GAW19 · 31/05/2021 14:31

I have 2 girls, Grace and Maisie but if we had another I love the name Bonnie Smile
