Help me narrow down the boys name list

Not sure what we’re having yet but would like to get the list down to one or two names for each sex. Name needs to go with big sister Maya (pronounced My-A) and surname is 2 syllables beginning with W. Middle name will be something Nigerian but will choose based on what goes with the first name.

Thoughts on these?

Jackson
Ethan
Finlay
Cameron
Noah
Harrison

I know some of them are really popular at the moment, that doesn’t really bother me too much.

All of them are the names of challenging children I have taught over the years so I wouldn’t pick any of them!
Noah and Cameron are the best of the bunch for me!

JustanotherTuesday · 31/05/2021 19:07

Finlay, I really like Finn for short.
Ethan was on our shortlist but we picked a different name. I wish we had used it now.

Hufflepuffsunite · 31/05/2021 19:05

I really like Noah from your list- that would be my top pick. Ethan is nice too. I don't really like the rest.

DrDresaid · 31/05/2021 19:03

Finlay
Cameron
Noah

clpsmum · 31/05/2021 19:03

Jackson great name and very cool

pilates · 31/05/2021 18:54

I only like Ethan

KirstenBlest · 31/05/2021 18:50

Jackson - surname only
Ethan - know several. Most are Eeffun
Finlay - seems a bit wet
Cameron - David
Noah - no
Harrison - ok as a surname, not as a first name

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 31/05/2021 17:39

thanks @Amdone123

AlmostSummer21 · 31/05/2021 17:09

If you're throwing away the best option (Harrison) and only keeping Noah & Ethan I'll choose Noah.

Amdone123 · 31/05/2021 17:02

@ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba, love Elijah.

ilovethecold · 31/05/2021 16:51

Noah Smile

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 31/05/2021 16:49

our DS4 is Noah so I'm biased

I briefly considered Ethan for DS6 but went with Elijah instead

Amdone123 · 31/05/2021 16:44

Maybe see what he looks like, but Noah Ethan has a lovely ring to it.
Good luck !

Babynamechange1bn · 31/05/2021 16:33

Thanks everyone - think I’ve probably narrowed it down to Noah or Ethan now. Noah is my favourite and Ethan is DHs.

Noah

SoapboxFox · 31/05/2021 15:15

I like Ethan best.

Lotsachocolateplease · 31/05/2021 15:03

From your list I like Ethan the best. Noah is ok but. Maya and Noah are a bit rhyme-y

flindorama · 31/05/2021 14:33

I really like Jackson, Finlay and Noah from your list. All lovely names

S00tired · 31/05/2021 14:16

I like Ethan, Cameron and Noah from your list.

FelicityPike · 31/05/2021 09:20

Jackson way too “common” here. I don’t like it, although you did spell it properly.
Ethan isn’t toooo bad.
Finlay can’t stand it, it’s a Surname.
Cameron same as Finlay, it’s OK if you’re Scottish (but only at a push).
Noah I like Noah.
Harrison again it’s a Surname.

MissyB1 · 31/05/2021 09:06

The only ones I like are
Noah
Cameron (although unfortunately makes me think of David Cameron).

TenThousandSpoons · 31/05/2021 09:04

My favourites are Finlay and Noah. I don’t like Jackson or Harrison but LOVE Jack and Harry. Definitely not Jaxon with an x though, that’s even worse. Cameron seems a bit dated. Ethan is ok.

Amdone123 · 31/05/2021 09:04

Really dislike Jackson and Harrison. I quite like Ethan and Finlay, but they don't thrill me.
Noah is lovely and I like Cameron. Cameron is a great name for a baby, toddler, cool teenager and an adult.

DinosaurDiana · 31/05/2021 08:52

I like Jaxon.

Babynamechange1bn · 31/05/2021 08:51

Haha, thanks @Bobbybobbins!
