We've narrowed it down to one of these 4. Please put in order of your favourite to least, thanks!!

Thanks all, I think Amorette is now definitely out...

Orla and Beatrice are my favourites. If you wanted to avoid the oral association with orla, you could spell it the Irish way , which I think is orlaith.

WildCherryBlossom · 31/05/2021 04:02

Orla is very pretty.

Althea - one of my DC needed quite a lot of speech and language therapy when little. We met a girl in our sessions called Althea and she struggled so much to say her own name. I appreciate it's not the trickiest name out there but always reminds me of her and people assuming she was trying to say Alicia.

Amorette - isn't that a range of bras by Triumph?

Beatrice - it's ok, never warmed to it particularly but I know a lot of people like it

alexdgr8 · 31/05/2021 01:41

Beatrice is ok
Althea is nice.
don't really like Orla, too short.

no no no to amorette, sounds like a porn star.

partyatthepalace · 31/05/2021 01:38

Honor!

partyatthepalace · 31/05/2021 01:38

Liqueur!

partyatthepalace · 31/05/2021 01:37

Beatrice always lovely if bit overused

Orla is OK prefer Oona or Hona

Don’t like the other two: Althea - lispy - Anthes is a bit better, Athena much better
Amorette - nooo, sounds like the sort of sickly licure

Lockdowndramaqueen · 31/05/2021 00:21

Love Althea. Think it’s due a resurgence. Not bothered by the others def not Amorette - sorry but it’s strange. Having said that we named one of our dc a name that bothered people and seems completely normal now so go for what you want.

PetuniaPot · 31/05/2021 00:18

Beatrice

SageRosemary · 31/05/2021 00:16

Orla, then Beatrice.
Using my power of veto for the other two!

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 30/05/2021 23:59

Beatrice is lovely, elegant and classical so is my choice of the 4. Orla and Althea are fine, just not particular faves (for some reason I love similar Alethea though). I really dislike Amorette - it sounds like the name of a lingerie brand.

AdaColeman · 30/05/2021 23:45

Beatrice is lovely.

Amorette sounds like a brand of ice cream.

RuthW · 30/05/2021 23:40

Orla 2 not bad

Althea 3 years k. Not my choice

Amorette 4 sounds like a biscuit

Beatrice 1 my fav

BackforGood · 30/05/2021 23:37

Not really keen on any, but, as you only want the order, not the opinions :

Orla 2

Althea 3, but a looooong way behind 1 & 2

Amorette 4, but sooooooooooo far behind the others, it's not really on the list

Beatrice 1

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 30/05/2021 23:35

Sorry but for me I only just about like Beatrice. Even though its not to my particular taste I can see why it's a well liked name.
I couldn't even put the others in any order.

Luckingfovely · 30/05/2021 23:30

Anything apart from Amorette would be okay!

Marcipex · 30/05/2021 23:18

Beatrice is okay
Althea also okay
Orla too close to oral, sorry
Amorette simply dreadful, please don’t.

Giraffey1 · 30/05/2021 23:16

I like Orla (good Irish name, I believe) but not the others. Particularly not Amorette. Too biscuity ….

TheMotherlode · 30/05/2021 23:14

In order of preference, best to worst:
Althea
Orla
Beatrice
Amorette

DotDotDotDotDot · 30/05/2021 23:08

Sorry I also think Orla is a bit close to oral if you read it quickly. Lots of other lovely Irish names though, maybe Aoife or Niamh? Althea is ok but Thea Is nicer. Beatrice sounds so stuffy and royal for my taste, Beatrix sounds a bit cooler. The other one sounds like a liquor, sorry.

sibbys · 30/05/2021 22:55

Love Beatrice!

Dont like the rest - sorry!

Piptastic · 30/05/2021 22:47

Orla

Jizzonmy · 30/05/2021 22:26

Only like Orla

FionnulaTheCooler · 30/05/2021 22:25

I like Orla and Beatrice. Not keen on the other two.

Totallyrandomname · 30/05/2021 22:25

I like Orla but not really the rest
