Mia the aaliyahs I’ve met are from a very certain type of common background

Mia

Mia

I like both but prefer Mia. It's classic, easier to say and rolls of the tongue well.

DalPalak · 28/05/2021 21:42

Aaliyah by a long shot.

HeadlessGummyBears · 28/05/2021 21:33

Both are great. Also, Aaliyah has different variations such as Alia, Aliyah, Alia, Aleah, Aleia, Alya and Aliyya.

BackforGood · 27/05/2021 22:42

I'm not particularly keen on Mia, but I agree with Lost and others about the spelling.
So, of the two, then Mia.

DramaAlpaca · 27/05/2021 22:39

Of the two, Mia.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 27/05/2021 19:39

Mia. Aaliyah will be misspelt as not everyone remembers the singer.

Happycat1212 · 27/05/2021 19:17

Aaliyah, but then I don’t like Mia I consider it a bit common,

AdaColeman · 27/05/2021 11:18

Mia

Or have you considered Allegra?

You might also like Anya?

CthulhuChristmas · 27/05/2021 11:07

I prefer the sound of Aaliyah but agree with others that there are likely to be spelling issues, although personally I'm familiar with it due to the singer by that name. What about Alia?

ILoveShula · 27/05/2021 11:04

Aaliyah - I'd guess a muslim background and I'm not sure how to say it - Is it Al-ee-ah, Ah-lee-ya or Ali-yah? Too complicated.

Mia's been overused.

Serpenta · 27/05/2021 11:00

Aaliyah

Mia is a bit nothingy

LadyDanburysHat · 27/05/2021 10:17

I don't particularly like either, but Mia is the better of the two.

Amdone123 · 27/05/2021 10:15

Mia is ok. I taught a lovely Aaliyah. It's not the type of name I would choose but the more I said it, the more I like it ( she was a character, so I said it a lot !). I think the double a puts me off. Aliah ?

Spied · 27/05/2021 10:07

Mia

Theoldwoman · 27/05/2021 10:06

Mia, without a doubt.

partyatthepalace · 27/05/2021 07:51

The other option will be a lifetime of spelling and pronunciation pain
