What are your thoughts on Aspen? If you know any are they male or female?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

To me it's an American girls' name.

KaleSlayer · 23/05/2021 23:36

Nice ski resort, my friend went to Aspen University. But I wouldn’t use it as a name.

gerbilfur · 23/05/2021 23:36

Makes me think of Scrubs. YOU GOT ME AN ASS PEN?! 😆

username985 · 23/05/2021 23:32

I really like it! Never heard of it as a name but it is pretty. It sounds more like a girl's name (like Hazel, Rowan)

GreyhoundG1rl · 23/05/2021 23:11

Very American. Doesn't travel well!

newtb · 23/05/2021 23:09

It's a tree mentioned in the poem The lady of Shalott

PlanDeRaccordement · 23/05/2021 22:45

Aspens are beautiful trees. They actually communicate with each other and colony of trees are a single organism with a unified root system.
Each Aspen colony is called a Pando.

Very good name, more for a boy though imho.

Lovely place to ski, not a child's name

Ginger1982 · 23/05/2021 22:41

Unless you're American, I would say no.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 23/05/2021 22:38

I've heard of a few american girls called Aspen. It's pretty and outdoorsy

Letsgetreadytocrumble · 23/05/2021 22:36

When I hear 'Aspen' I always think of the film Dumb and Dumber Grin

Also, I don't really like the 'ass' sound at the beginning, I wouldn't like it if my name began with that sound.

WishStarDream · 23/05/2021 22:35

I love it! I would use for a boy only

DotBall · 23/05/2021 22:34

Pretty and pleasant.

Smartiepants79 · 23/05/2021 22:28

Never come across this as a name of a person.
It’s a place.
It’s pretty and I’d think of it as a girls name but I don’t like place names for children.
Quite American sounding.

RosesAndHellebores · 23/05/2021 22:23

It's a ski resort in Colorado. Very reliable snow.
