Nothing wrong with the name, but please spell it correctly or your child will have a lifetime of explaining.

Theoldwoman · 22/05/2021 04:10

I love Samantha.

But that's where it ends. I don't care for Sam/Sammy.

I have 3 girls and Samantha was on the list each time. I never actually used it because I don't like the nicknames.

DramaAlpaca · 22/05/2021 01:35

Yes to Samanther the Panther, I always say that in my head when I hear the name Samantha.

OP, Arthur is very popular these days, so to be nice and modern I reckon you should spell it Samanthur.

brizzlewizzle · 21/05/2021 23:46

@Watermelon222

Are you from Bristol?
I was going to ask the same question! 😂
headintheproverbial · 21/05/2021 22:28

This has got to be a wind up.

Samanther the Panther grrrr 🐯

stellarfox · 21/05/2021 22:23

I really don’t like it but I would at least use the more common spelling

Chunkymenrock · 21/05/2021 22:14

Fake post I think?

ofwarren · 21/05/2021 22:12

If you mean Samantha I quite like it. Not the way you have spelt it though.

FindingMeno · 21/05/2021 22:08

Not keen and definitely even less keen on the unusual spelling.

Lollypop4 · 21/05/2021 22:03

I'm not keen , I know so many but if you do choose it , it needs to be 'Samantha'

NigellaSeed · 21/05/2021 21:59

Honest opinion, really bland name.

littlebillie · 21/05/2021 21:59

@Beetlewing

I'm so so sorry but it's one of those names like Deborah/Debbie and Amanda/Mandy that are dated but not 'vintage' and sounds like a male transsexuals idea of a 'real lady' name
Hmm
Watermelon222 · 21/05/2021 21:57

Are you from Bristol?

LittleDoritt · 21/05/2021 21:55

Dear God, don't spell it like that!

Stevearnottsbeard · 21/05/2021 21:26

I think it would make a lovely change from all the popular names being used at the moment... I have a Samuel so might be a bit biased

WaitinginVain · 21/05/2021 19:39

It's a great name Wink. Please spell it correctly though.

lanbro · 21/05/2021 19:25

Not my cup of tea at all, should remain firmly in the 80s with Gemma and Amanda

ThatIsMyPotato · 21/05/2021 19:23

I like Samantha

PremierSmeage · 21/05/2021 19:20

Very dated.

Pemba · 21/05/2021 19:13

Absolute bullshit, Beetlewing.

BiBabbles · 21/05/2021 18:52

Never seen it before. I've heard of Samandar as a masculine name which I thought this might be a version of, but - as shown by this thread most people will think it's meant to be Samantha.

Summertime21 · 21/05/2021 18:42

I like it if you spell it correctly

partyatthepalace · 21/05/2021 18:38

It’s spelt Samantha...

I quite like it.

Beetlewing · 21/05/2021 18:31

I'm so so sorry but it's one of those names like Deborah/Debbie and Amanda/Mandy that are dated but not 'vintage' and sounds like a male transsexuals idea of a 'real lady' name

strawberry2017 · 21/05/2021 18:29

If it's with the spelling you have put. Then NO!
That's not the way to spell it.
If it's spelt correctly as Samantha then yes.
