Sadie or Cleo

Can't believe I'm questioning what thought was our chosen name again (Cleo) almost at due date and having another wobble. Out of interest do you prefer Sadie or Cleo?

Cleo makes me think Renault, though it is a lovely name. I would go with Sadie.

I love Cleo

Sadie is a nn and sounds sour to my ear. I don't like the sad and sadism associations (visually and aurally).

If I was looking for lovely alternatives to Cleo, I'd think of Clarice and Suki (which is probably also a nn, I don't know but it's silky smooth, a bit feline and a beautiful sound).

Cleo is feline to me and it's just not to my taste.

Sadie the cleaning lady 🤭 and I'm going to take a wild guess that your dog is named cleo 😂 there does seem to be some pet associations but it hasn't really put me off. Yet haha

I really like both of these girls names, nice choices. I think it’s always good to have at least 2 possibilities, when you meet her you’ll know which one she is. Good luck.

Sadie is okay but does begin with Sad.

Sadie is a nn for Sarah, too insubstantial and faddy as a full name.

Cleo would be my pick of the two- has a cool vibe and feels less well used. Sadie blends more into the popular retro/cute nickname territory for me (Nancy, Edie, Marnie etc).
