I have decided on a boys name but cannot find a girls name. Please help! These are some names I've been thinking about but still really struggling! I swear boys names are so much easier!

Noah and Juliet
Noah and Violet
Noah and Eloise
Noah and Darcey
Noah and Sofia
Noah and Grace

I've met 2 gorgeous little girls with the name Hannah, but I've got some negative associations with older Hannah's, which I'm not sure I can get over.

Please comment on the above name choices, which is your favourite and why?

Ta.

Noah and Tess. It's my little girl's name so a bit biased but think it works really well.

Yes - for sure - she was really at the vanguard of independent women who weren’t born wealthy but who started to go out into the world and have their own adventurous lives. She’s definitely inspirational (and lucky!)

bluespanisheyes8916 · 14/05/2021 15:26

@partyatthepalace Oh wow! I've literally just finished reading her memoirs! I think her strong personality makes it quite an inspirational name for me. If that makes sense?

That is so odd - I am literally this minute writing something about Violet Jessop!

I think that’s a sign - and is a lucky person to be named after!

bluespanisheyes8916 · 14/05/2021 15:05

@partyatthepalace Thank you! I love Juliet, after Gnomeo and Juliet!
I think its between Eloise, Juliet and Violet (which I love, after Violet Jessop from Titanic).
I also love Connie (Constance was Violet Jessop's middle name).
Not sure which to go for.....

Violet

partyatthepalace · 14/05/2021 15:01

Noah and Eloise is my favourite combo
Also love Noah and Juliet, Juliet more unusual than Eloise
Love Violet but less of a natural combo

Grace is great, but there are so flipping many of them I’d avoid it. Noah and Sofia I think sound too similar, and Sofia even more overused. Darcy - no - it’s a bit naff and made up/downmarket, and if I were her I would feel really annoyed next to as rich a name as Noah.

Other thoughts - Marianne, Susannah, Stella, Honor, Esther, Lois, Lydia, Rachel, Adela, Serena, Felicity, Verity, Frances, Phoebe

Elisha

My favourite for Noah's sister from your list is Violet. I also like Juliet, Eloise and Grace.

GeorgiaGirl52 · 14/05/2021 01:58

Noah and Dora
Noah and Zara
Noah and Delphine

WarwickHunt · 14/05/2021 01:50

Nelly

mathanxiety · 13/05/2021 23:40

I like Noah and Eloise. Both have a soft sound.

I really dislike the name Darcey. I can't get past the 'arse' in the middle.

The rest are nice. Grace is a bit meh.

I know a few Noahs of various ages who have sisters:
Noah, Chana and Myriam
Noah and Mila
Noah and Alannah
Noah and Carys
Noah and Lara

sunflowertulip · 13/05/2021 23:32

Hannah is by far and away my favourite but I also really like Grace and Sofia (or sophie). The only one I don't really like is Eloise though.

Jumpingintosummer · 13/05/2021 23:30

Siblings of Noah’s we know are
Judith (Jude)
Edith
Alice
Rosy

Tinty · 13/05/2021 23:23

Noah and Felicity

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 13/05/2021 23:19

Noah and Grace fit the best together imo - both short, simple, easy to say and spell and popular.

Stevearnottsbeard · 13/05/2021 21:29

Noah and grace was my first thought, they sound great together

2weekstogo · 13/05/2021 21:18

Violet is 100% my fav girls name

PassGo · 13/05/2021 21:02

Sofia is lovely and Sofia Darcey would work well if you're looking for a middle name. Grace goes well with Noah too. I also like Violet but not sure it goes particularly well with Noah.

Flymetothestars · 13/05/2021 20:54

I really like Hannah and think you'd forget past associations
What's your boy name out of interest

Tatum1234 · 13/05/2021 20:36

Violet and Juliet are both lovely.

Lotsachocolateplease · 13/05/2021 20:36

How about Anna instead of Hannah?
Or
Harriet
Faye
Cassie
Kate
Violet
Rachel

RosieRedPetal · 13/05/2021 20:35

Darcey Smile

Rainbowqueeen · 13/05/2021 20:30

I like all the names on your list except Sofia

Can you whittle it down by what works with your surname then wait until baby is here and see what suits her

katielou987 · 13/05/2021 20:25

I really like Noah and Eloise from your list.

Other suggestions:

Noah and Eva
Noah and Alice
Noah and Lily
Noah and Rose
