I really like for a girl:

Heron
Lark
Wren
Birdie
Robin
Dove

Which do you prefer?

Or there's Thrush..... (sorry ☺️☺️)

OhLordyWhatNow · 04/05/2021 21:21

Thrush?

The Candida of bird names.

Timper · 04/05/2021 21:16

Seagull or Crow would be my preference.

ILoveShula · 04/05/2021 21:16

Paloma

ILoveShula · 04/05/2021 21:15

Adelie (penguin)

ILoveShula · 04/05/2021 21:14

Flamingo

Penelope is the scientific name for a type of duck called a wigeon. Also Eleanora (Eleanora's falcon), isabel (isabeline shrike), Phoebe is a type of bird too. Of yours I like Wren best.

Bergamotte · 04/05/2021 21:08

Lark, Wren or Robin are nice. As is Linnet.

Heron is very odd- they would get annoying questions about it all through life- and if I saw it on a form, would assume it was a boy rather than a girl.
I strongly dislike Birdie or Dove.

SpookieDookie · 04/05/2021 21:05

Merle is French for blackbird.

Frolickingfoam · 04/05/2021 20:42

Yes I actually knew someone called Heron growing up and always thought it was very glamorous!

My DD's middle name is Lark, it really suits her as she is daft as a brush and gets up at the crack of dawn so I love a bird name!

Heron makes me chuckle Smile

WhereYouLeftIt · 04/05/2021 20:41

Heron? Really?

DotDotDotDotDot · 04/05/2021 20:34

I think Robin and Wren are the only useable names on your list (both I like a lot). The others are all a bit odd for various reasons.

Orphlids · 04/05/2021 20:32

Lark is my favourite, but I think Skylark would be nicer.

caringcarer · 04/05/2021 20:21

Robin

NuffSaidSam · 04/05/2021 20:21

I like Wren and Robyn best.

I think Dove is too closely associated with soap, it would be like calling your baby Radox.

Lark is ok.

Birdie is a nickname.

Heron made me laugh out loud. I don't really know why though. I think it's just not bird name I would associate with a person (like calling a child pigeon or tit).

Snooptheboot · 04/05/2021 20:20

Wren or Robin.

Please to goodness not Heron!!!

GeorgieRose1234 · 04/05/2021 20:19

I love Birdie or Robin ❤️
