What's your best unusual but traditional baby name?

Ones that aren't used often! Smile

@MAMAW31 awww you are making me have faith in it now! It's the name my husband and I loved by after my thread everyone calling me cruel and insane I feel like I can't 😂😂

@Puffalicious oh really!! I don't know any peppers nor ever met one! X

Puffalicious · 06/05/2021 08:03

We have a Pepper next door to us. She has beautiful light, red hair- she's our little red pepper! She and her name are adorable.

Hilda Angela

Wilbur
Brendan

I wouldn't use any of them but they are traditional and rare.

Hilda... why do I imagine a grumpy 80 year old in a hair net? 😂
@MAMAW31 yeah I think pet name a little too! But I do just love it 😍 all the dogs I know have such human names they seem to be crossing over 😂
Yes defo! I think human names for dogs are very cool.

Pepper is awesome. You should go with it, I'm weirdly drawn to it now. It has a vintage American feel to it too!

@AnxiousAnnie86

Back again!! We now have a top three! Baby girl due in five weeks! No negativity to any of the names please as she will more then likely end up as one, I do know they aren't to everyone's taste. But our current list is;

Juniper (my absolute favourite)
Pepper (husband adores this name)
Nessie (we both quite like)

Just opinion on which you would go for please as I said no negativity on any, took us forever to agree on three 😂

Thank you ladies xxx

Lol! I like them all.. pepper is cute but reminds me a dog for some reason! Blush Sorry!

@IamnotwhouthinkIam

Depends on what you mean by traditional - but you might be thinking of classic names that were more popular 30/40 plus years ago, but that are (sometimes a long way!) outside the top 100 now -

Yes exactly!

More along the lines of Philip than say, a Lindsey.

I don't know really.....I guess Mary Jane and Ruth but I think a lot of mums will be thinking along the same lines. We're living in quite exciting times. I expect we'll have lots of Eleanors and Alfreds at school with Lunas and Graysons.
