Welsh girls names you can pronounce

So having failed to agree on anything DH thinks something from his Welsh side would be nice. We don’t live in Wales though so I’m wanting to know what’s hot and what’s not in Wales and what can people pronounce. So far from the family connections we have

Sian - I like but heard old fashioned in Wales
Siriol
Ceridwen
Eirian (Ayrian)
Manon - I quite like this
Tesni
Eluned
Glesni - again quite like this
Tarian - may be a bit GOT

@SmiledWithTheRisingSun, I like all sorts of names.

I know an Estelle, 2 Stellas, 2 Astrids but no Stars.

I'll stand corrected on Madryn.

My mum is gwyneth - except with 2 n in it as her dad spelt it wrong when she was registered. Friend has a granddaughter called Ceinwen sp? Lots of pretty names on here hope you find something you like

Just looked up the meaning...

Madryn is a Welsh name, a variant of Madrun.
• Saint Madryn is called in Latin Materiana and in modern Welsh Madrun
• Madryn is a short form of the name of Puerto Madryn, a town and port in Argentina
• Carn Fadryn is a hill in north Wales named after Saint Madryn

I know a few children with middle name Seren.

Non and Haf (Halve) are pretty middle names.

Some names with pronunciations I would think obvious still seem lead to queries from English people who haven't come across them (Alys, Cari) - but they would only ask once.

Others look easy to pronounce on paper but I've met people with the names who pronounce them in different ways eg Elin (ay-lin or el-een), Lowri (l-oh-ri or l-ow-ri as in wow), Eira (ay-ra or eye-ra).

Also like Mari, Bethan, Megan, Catrin, Ffion.

Iola I believe is Yolla, and Iolo = Yollo (lovely name for a boy).

My daughter is Rhiannon we live in England, a lot of people end up calling her Rhian, or Rhianna she's used to it now though lol. Her friends call her Rhi
