Struggling on boys names, currently liking jace

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@Violetlavenders

What about Jacob, nn Jace?

I thought the op meant Jace pronounced Jase with an s sound Confused

Jason is a good option in that case.

It's that how it's pronounced then? Jake, only spelled wrong 😂 Why, oh why?
pilates · 30/04/2021 17:19

Awful

Itsokthanks · 30/04/2021 17:18

Sounds made up and one of those names that creates a negative image.

mammmamia · 30/04/2021 17:16

I don’t like it but I love Ace for some reason Blush

sarah13xx · 30/04/2021 17:10

*Name not make 😂😂 Also Jason would never have crossed my mind, it’s a name in its own right

BrownEyedGirl80 · 30/04/2021 17:10

Jace Everett who sung the True Blood theme tune.Fucking brilliant song.

sarah13xx · 30/04/2021 17:09

Yes I like it! I know someone with a Jace and had never heard it before that. Now I’m trying to make a little boy I wish they hadn’t already used it so I could 😂 it’s hard to find something unusual that’s also nice for a boy

Ineedaneasteregg · 30/04/2021 15:20

Some people are going to make judgements as you can see.
A more neutral option would be Jason.

ActonBell · 30/04/2021 13:15

What about Jacob, nn Jace? I know they’re different sounds but I think that’s kind of cool and it gives him a few different options (Jacob, Jace, Jake, J, Jack) to choose from when he’s older if he wants to go for something different.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 30/04/2021 13:11

@brushlaptop

Sounds like a made up chav name
To me, that says more about you than the poor child you’re judging so easily.
SmallPrawnEnergy · 30/04/2021 13:10

@TheWashingMachine

Hideous name. I would automatically make certain snobbish assumptions about someone who gave their child a name like this - sorry!
It’s no wonder kids get picked on for having the audacity to have a different name when their parents act like this. SMH.
lunar1 · 30/04/2021 13:07

I like it, and while it isn't a common name it would very quickly become familiar. Easy to say and spell too.

yikesanotherbooboo · 30/04/2021 13:04

Jason

brushlaptop · 30/04/2021 12:59

Sounds like a made up chav name

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 30/04/2021 12:58

Jace makes me think of a book series I read as a teen: The Mortal Instruments. It was a nickname for his initials JC. I don’t dislike it but it wouldn’t be my choice.

Nonmaquillee · 30/04/2021 12:57

Really not at all keen.

Yosami · 30/04/2021 12:55

Not liking it. Sorry.

angelaEhen · 30/04/2021 12:55

I thought of poor Jace from teen mums aswell :(
Not keen on the name but I like more traditional

cheeseandpicklesandie · 30/04/2021 12:50

Chase instead, Jase is a NIckname ? I've met two so far and of course he's the main pup in Paw patrol.

ShoppingPrecinctPrincess · 30/04/2021 12:49

I thought of poor little Jace from Teen Mom too.

It's not a great name, OP.

Stevearnottsbeard · 30/04/2021 12:48

One of the girls from the first series of 16 and pregnant called her son jace. It's just very American to me

WeatherwaxOn · 30/04/2021 12:46

I'd think it was a nickname for Jason.

Tal45 · 30/04/2021 12:42

Jace sounds like a made up chav type name to me - sorry! I'd go for Jason and nn Jase.

insancerre · 30/04/2021 12:40

Sorry, I would think it was a nickname or a made up name or a contestant on some awful reality tv series
