Tricia. (As the official name, not a nickname for Patricia or Beatrice. Pronunciation is same as Trisha.)

and what would be good middle names for it?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I would think it was a shortening of Patricia. It sounds quite dated, like the name of a woman in her 50s.

tortoiselover100 · 25/04/2021 16:42

Ok but I don't love it.

BramStoker · 25/04/2021 16:42

I would assume it was a lady in her 50s/60s called Patricia.

Probably married to a Geoff

Sooobooored · 25/04/2021 16:42

It’s horrible although Patricia is passable.

Bellyups · 25/04/2021 16:40

I think of an angry middle aged woman in middle management

Cowbells · 25/04/2021 16:39

I'm not keen on it.

PotionNotion · 25/04/2021 16:38

I think of other naff 70s/80s names like Tracey, Sharon, Tonya.

Divebar2021 · 25/04/2021 16:38

I’ve seen it spelled like that so I don’t find that unusual. It’s not a name I’ve heard recently though and I do tend to associate with older ladies.

Sandgrown1970 · 25/04/2021 16:31

Awful for a baby. Fine for a middle aged housewife character in a book. Trish is the obvious choice of a nickname. It’s my cousins name (Tricia), she’s in her 50s. Reminds me of Trisha Goddard, daytime TV host.

If it’s for a baby, don’t. Aisha is a nicer but less dated/mumsy name. Or Marcia/Asha/Sasha/Misha etc although all still a bit 80s.

romdowa · 25/04/2021 16:28

I'd presume it was short for Patricia and it could be shortened again to trish

Whinge · 25/04/2021 16:27

Honestly i'd think poor child. It's not a great name and the odd spelling makes it even worse.

GintyMcGinty · 25/04/2021 16:26

I like it but I would still put either Patricia or Beatrice on the birth certificate in order to give your child choice later in life.

NaughtyNell · 25/04/2021 16:26

I don't like it personally to me its a shortened version of Patricia any way you say it

Bluntness100 · 25/04/2021 16:25

It’s a bit eighties and I’m surprised it’s a name in its own right spelled like that.
