Ines is the name of a horrible contestant from a rubbish reality show in australia that most of uk hasn't seen! So I wouldn't let that put you off but she was referred to as anus and I think that association has put me off forever.

Ines. It’s exciting, interesting, chic, elegant, and sophisticated. I agree with PPs that Indie is too trendy. It sounds so informal. Cute for a little one, but beyond that I don’t think it would work.

If you'd watched married at first sight Australia it would put you off the name Ines. The Ines in that was a psychopath. So Indie for me!

Inès. With the accent :) It is a timeless name whereas "Indie" is too trendy and it may not suit her as an adult if she doesn't turn out to have a hippy trendy alternative sort of personality. Fine for an arty type, a bit weird for a chartered accountant.
